In 1936 Aleksandr Ivanovich Oparin, in his "The Origin of Life on Earth", demonstrated that organic molecules could be created in an oxygen-less atmosphere, through the action of sunlight. These molecules, he suggested, combine in ever-more complex fashion until they are dissolved into a coacervate droplet. These droplets could then fuse with other droplets and break apart into two replicas of the original. This could be viewed as a primitive form of reproduction and metabolism. Favorable attributes such as increased durability in the structure would survive more often than nonfavorable attributes.

In 1953, taking their cue from Oparin and Haldane, the chemists Stanley L. Miller and Harold C. Urey carried out an experiment on the "primeval soup". Within two weeks a racemic mixture of a few amino acids, the building blocks of life, had formed from the highly reduced mixture of methane, ammonia and hydrogen. While Miller and Urey did not actually create life; they demonstrated that a more complex molecule — a few amino-acids — could emerge spontaneously from simpler chemicals. The environment was meant to simulate a primeval earth. It included an external energy source and an atmosphere largely devoid of oxygen. (the specific experiment involved shooting a spark, representing lightning, into their flask) There was careful filtering in place to preserve the results from destruction.

So if an amino acid (this is by the way what DNA is made out of) can form in a few weeks why can't they build up over a billion years? Again, just something to consider before you say it's impossible.

Ok, I made a slip up, it makes protein, let me get that out qwuick before everyone else focusses on one mis statement. My mistyped statement changes nothing. Stop being an ***.

and to xxx The Used xxx, no that took about 30 seconds. I was just reading about it and posted it.

Again everyone, I messed up, amino acids make protein, so don't freak out about it. We can all make mistakes. And to Will, I'm not ignorant of science, I just messed up, people like you don't help make progress in anything. Next time point it out without showing your own weakness. I could prove that I'm not ignorant of science with electron configurations, and particle/antiparticle anhilations and whatnot but it isn't worth it. Again, stop being an ***.

To REGINA, I never said there is no God, although I don't believe it I don't care if you do. I never said anything about God being real or fake, just about his part in creating life. I'd answer all your questions for you but due to the fact that you don't have any method of cotact open in your profile that you don't really want to talk about it, just for me to be quiet.

The reason faith is often so unshakeable is because it is an arbitary belief. Evidence and contradictory information has no effect on it.

Notice many of the other examples that flat out reject the concept you are trying to express.

I had heard of experiments like this. Though, I have to admit I'm ignorant of the finer workings of these things, I don't doubt that the experiments produced what they said. Many others try experiments like this... and I have yet to read in any science mag that this was a hoax. But, like I said, I'm ignorant of the details.

As far as just the post though... seems most people think if you support this idea in any way, shape or form, then you must be using it to prove there isn't a God. It's a rather childish argument and usually only leads to an exchange of insults.

But thanx for the info. I may wanna look into this some more... and maybe try to understand some of it LOL

it doesn't take a genius to know that if u mix 2 same ingredients and it makes something, then by mixing those same 2 ingredients its always going to make the same things. and if u add a 3rd ingredient its won't come out the same but may make something totally different

so tell me, if evolution is how we became humans then y do we have a male and females for everything living. wouldn't we all be males or females
y do we fit together like we do to reproduce

y do we think like we do

y is every1 so unique

how come we have feelings,

when we do something wrong,y do we feel guilty, for without God telling us what was right and wrong in the first place ,then we wouldn't know any difference

u answer all these questions and more that i have before u say there isn't a God

From a Biblical Base Christian God created all living creatures interior the six days of creation of Genesis financial disaster one(he rested on the seventh day). This includes dinosaurs and guy. Dinosaurs are actually not suggested by ability of call interior the Bible via fact the notice dinosaur did not exist till the 20 th century. interior the e book of job the Bible does talk of the "behemoth" and the "leviathan". even nevertheless many cutting-edge-day scholars have tried to write this off as an alligator or a hippopotamus, the descriptions of those animals is amazingly equivalent to the way scientists describe dinosaurs. Why did the dinosaur die out? i've got faith the popular public of them died interior the Flood of Noah, and those that survived the Flood weren't in a position to evolve(not evolve) interior the post-flood era.

In the have you considered these catagory where we say only God can create life. Answer No we have not considered these. Most of us haven't heard of these. I don't know what classes you were in when you considered these.

Life as we know it was created and made by God. It is far easier than believing other more exotic versions. We except by faith and we were all given faith the measure of a mustard seed and I believe by faith that you except things by faith yourself and don't even think about it. The Bible says even nature itself tells you there is a God. By faith you go to bed believing that in the morning the cycle of things will be mostly the same. Things are not identically the same or it would be groundhog day over and over.LOL

Yes it is true that primitive live has been created in the lab. But not intelligent life. So is it really far fetched to believe that a Superior being i.e. "god" created life as we know it.
I am not saying that god exists and I am not saying that he doesn't. I am just saying that it is good to keep your mind open to all possibilities. Until we can prove one way or another isn't it good to keep an open mind about these things?

OK there where some scientists that wanted to prove to God that they could make a better a man the He did.
so they went to God and say lets have a contest and see who wins
God said "OK"
so the scientists reached down and picked up some dirt.
God said "Oh no, get your own dirt. That is mine I made that too."

DNA is NOT made out of amino acids.

DNA is made out of purines and pyrimidines.

Proteins are made out of amino acids.

Why are atheists so ignorant of science?
