Political correctness is at it again, the word that you're supposed to use now is "complexion". Personally, I think the word sounds a lot more correct than color and if the word color offends some people, why not use the word complexion.

Ex: The color of someone's skin. Instead of that you're supposed to say: The complexion of someone's skin.

I actually agree with using the word complexion instead of color.

PC gone mad! It's just another, longer word to say the same thing - and 'complexion' does NOT mean the same thing as 'colour' (UK spelling)! It is more used to describe whether a skin is oily or dry (though one can also say 'dark' or 'light complexioned' as well).

'The complexion of [someone's] skin' is actually incorrect, since complexion only refers to skin, so it's a tautology!

Of course, your information puts a whole new complexion on the believability of 'political correctness'. ;)

That is soooo freaking ridiculous. This is brainwashing at its best. If the color of someones skin and the complexion of their skin means the same thing...please explain to me why "complexion" is the better of the two?

I hate over PC scumbags. You don't have to bend to their pressure. I remember a London council who banned the use of the name 'black bag' and we had to say 'bin bag' instead. Madness. But then again, people are mental.

I would say the colour of my girlfriends skin is olive (because it is and it's lovely)

She would say mine is milk white (because I am northern European and have the complexion of a vampire, Damn! - difficult in the Aussie sun)

I think some people take "color" as a racial slur because they were called "the coloreds" back on the 50's and 60's. People are so afraid that they're going to offend someone anymore.

Common human decency; still extant today to one degree or another will override fetishist conventions long after they've sunk into the tongueless silence of the dreamless dust as Bob Ingersoll put it.

In Australia they were saying we would have to change the words to bah bah black sheep to bah bah rainbow sheep. political correctness is ridiculous and way out of hand I actually think political correctness makes a bigger issue out of this crap than the people we are actually supposedly insulting.

I really don't mind if someone say the color of my skin is...
But if they call me colored, that's a whole different story.

I think that "color" and "complexion" are the same.
In a few years, complexion will be replaced like a cycle.
So I don't really care.

That sounds like it descriminates against people with acne. If someone says that to me, I'd say "Quit talking about me like people with zits don't matter!" Politcal correctness is for goon tards.
