It was very hard for my family to accept some my bf who obviously isn't black and a lot of my male members of my family are very opposed to his presence. My grandma was saying ,"Why do you always mess with those Spainsh boys, don't you know there is a nice boy at chruch I picked out for you. He's perfect, he's a honor student he has a job, he has always followed the law, and he's very sweet." I told her that he was very boring and we didn't have much in common. My mom accepts my bf, she adores him.

I am a New Yorker whose whole life was ripped wide open on 9/11, having lost family members and suffering the eventual disolution of my marriage because of emotional distress brought on by the attack.

Yet, I don't see that our experience is more poignant or more important than that of the people in countries torn apart by constant violence. That includes Afghanistan, Palestine, Israel and Iraq (countries directly affected by American military action).

I had thought that our experience on 9/11 would make us more sensitive to the daily horrors our country's military inflicts on other people. Where is our heart?

I was checking out some question here on Yahoo... There was a particular question about "what is the holy grail, and if it still exists".. Ok, we all know about it and most of us have read the Da Vinci Code. A female respondant raised my interest as she replied " It is the child of Mary and Jesus that the Knights Templar were ought to protect. And no I haven't read The Da Vinci Code." First of all she wouldn't possibly assume that if not reading the book. I have read several Gnostic Gospels even before the release of Dan's book and din't make that assumption.. Statistics have shown that most females tend to believe that the Holy grail is actually the blooline of Jesus ( after reading the book of course ), even if History doesn't mention anything of a Grail, or any evidence that Jesus was married.. Not even the Gnostic Gospels. . Why is it though that most women tend to believe this fictional theory?

Im not talking about the "plunge" or water running..
I need ideas on how to prevent others outside hearing those "trumpet" sounds that come along when having diarrhea..

Im serious about it!
Its annoying to be getting dumb remarks like "have you just spray painted the bowl again" and such.
So what can I do, so that people waiting outside the bathroom door wont hear it?
