It kinda depends on which God you are looking at. The God of the Old Testament was very vengeful and unforgiving. The God of the New Testament was much more forgiving and loving.
But in the long run this idea would only make Christians care, as not all people believe in the Christian God or Jesus as the son of God.

B/c Satan is a fallen Angel. Angels only had one choice: follow God or Satan who wanted to be God. We humans a special in the sense that we were made in God's image, in his likeness. We have a chance to make things right, but Satan and his demons can't. That's why Satan tries to get as many people to believe his lies. He knows his time is short, and when that time comes he will go to Hell for eternity, so he wants to make sure to have as many people as possible to go down with him.

God doesn't just forgive everyone. You have to repent to receive that forgiveness. Eternity is a long time though, so maybe there is hope for Satan too.

Satan chooses not to ask for forgiveness. He is holding the grudge. In any case, we must have an oppisite to everything good, there must be a bad.

He would forgive satan, if satan would repent of all the sin he has done and caused adn trust on him for his salvation.
God offers the forgiveness to him, to you, to all, it is us that have to accept it.

Because Satan won't make peace. He is the father of lies.
Satan is like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

you have to actually ask for forgiveness in order to receive it. It's not something that just happens you have to confess your sins in order to receive forgiveness...I don't think Satan is going to do that.

If in religion there was no bad or evil then people would do whatever they liked and not be the mindless drones they are. Its hard to control someone if they fear nothing.
