the bible was pieced togther by a few who went around taking word of mouth and some scrolls stories. taking the stories they wanted and putting them together to fit a story.

paul was said to have started this after feeling guilty for feeding thousands of chrisitans to the lions.

so i guess you can say guilt was the start of it all.

The old testament is a collection of books, some historical, some prophetic, some legal, and so forth, that comprises what is know as the Jewish bible. The new testament is a collection of letters, along with the gospel accounts. Most people are under the assumption that the Bible was always in existence, mostly, I think, because we today are so accostumed to having always had the bible that we automatically presume it was always there. Historically, the new testament was not officially canonized until about the 4th century, some 400 hundred years after the death and resurrection of Christ. Does this make the bible flawed? Of course not.

The teachings of Christ throughout history were preserved in oral and written tradition. This is how the early church taught it's followers and preserved Christ's teachings. Along with what was passed down orally, some of the time the early leaders would write letters to instruct, teach, upbuild, or discipline the flock, and these letters were also preserved. As the church grew, it saw the need to compile a standard bible along with its oral teachings to preserve the faith. This is where our new testament comes from.

In a simple sense, you could say that. I recommend the book below for a full answer, as it requires more than a paragraph or two. However, holy men of old wrote as they were inspired by God. This was preserved in various ways (clay tablets - 10 commandments; scrolls, parchments, etc). Throughout history it was meticulously preserved. We have over 26000 known manuscripts, making the Bible the MOST accurate, most historically sound document EVER preserved over the course of 1000 years. It has been proven to be historically accurate in all accounts, and scientifically sound.

I believe ( my personal opinion here), that are ancient tablets out there with the book of Job. I believe Job was the first book to be written even before Genesis. The Ancient Sumerians had several clay tablets explaining the origin of the universe, very similar to the Hebrew version.
It a great topic for research by the way! I love it.

You shouldn't even say the Evolution of the Bible, that simply doesn't make sense since the Bible speaks against that. Watch what you are saying because God knows what you say.

No evidence that it was ever on clay tablets unless you mean the original Babylonian and Akkadian stories the Israelites borrowed and edited to create Genesis and Exodus (Utnapishtim and the Flood, Sargon II whose story is the basis of Moses).

Yeah. Moses went to the mountain, then they were written down on scrolls. Then as time progressed moses, or whomever wrote it in the bible.

The first "word of mouth" were carried from inscriptions on the backs of camels and then wall drawings, etc. and then into tablets, etc.
