I was raised to always pick up the check, I turned out gay, but that's a different story. I just can't help myself, he likes to eat out a lot, and always wants to pay, but I always have to take the check away from him, or tell the waiter in advance to give it to me. He's an engineer, I'm a teacher. On one hand, it's very costly for me to keep paying for eating out every night. On the other hand, he makes more money than me and always wants to pay.

I just don't know how can I get over myself and let him pay or at least be confortable going deutch.

I may sound dumb, but I like feeling in the man in the relationship, maybe that's why I just can't do it.

How can I be confortable with myself letting him pay?

For example, when you try to force schools and/or other government buildings to post religious documents, or hold religious services. Or pass religiously inspired laws.

Do you believe you have a soul? If so, do you also believe that other living things have souls? Do animals have souls? What do you believe happens to your soul when you die? If animals have souls what happens to their souls when they die? If human souls go to heaven (according the Christianity etc) then what happens to the animal soul that has no religious faith? I'm not looking for religious dogma just your thoughts on the concept of a soul. Please don't answer if you're just looking for the two points! Thank you for your time!

She is in lots of pain and can't have the ultrasound till next tuesday due to the holiday weekend. If a stone lodges in the bile duct it can cause a life threatening infection. Please pray for her.

I drive a car with a power convertible top. What is the ettiquete for removing said top? Is it only when you leave the spot you were just parked in? I take it down sometimes at stoplights, and people look at me funny. The other day I saw a lady removing hers on the side of the freeway.

im catholic and in religion once our teacher said that god never holds a grudge he is all forgiving but then i said how come in the adam and eve storry god DID punish eve for taking the fruit!!!!

when i said that my teacher told me the storry isnt true its just a myth to make you think about god but THAT DOESNT MAKE SENSE because why wud we be ment to think about god PUNISHING if he NEVER PUNISHES?!?!??

im giving up on it coz it doesnt make sense the way i see it is that my religion teacher AND all catholics are contradicting ourselves!!! im sorry if thats a sin to say that but its true WE ARE JUST NOT MAKING SENSE!!!

Do you think that teenage girls are maturing too quickly? Are they dressing more provactive than they should be? Shouldn't their minds be on education and the future rather than sex?
No, not all teens are like this, I know, so please don't think I'm generalizing, but instead of learning and growing to be a responsible young adult, some of them have multiple sex partners, end up pregnant, drop out of school......etc......
And the way they dress is much different than it was when I was a teen. Is it parenting? Is it the media? What gives? Can we save our youth? It's so scary thinking of the terrible diseases, unwanted pregnancies, and these girls dropping out of school and having to be a mommy at 16.
What happened?

I'm no liberal left winger but I'm starting to get the feeling that the war in Iraq is not going well for the US. Here's a few good reasons and some counterpoints.

1- This thing was supposed to end 3 years ago when the statute came down. Bush (the C in C) said shortly after "major combat operations in Iraq is over" on an aircraft carrier w "Mission Accomplished" banner overhead.

Since that time we've had at least Three (3) major battles in Iraq (1st and 2nd Battle of Fallujah and the Cemetary battle against the Sadr Army in Baghdad). Also dozens of security operations and at least a few hundred IED incidents killing and maiming US troops and more or less innocent Iraqi civilians.

2- This situation continues. It ebbs and flows but MORE US troops have died and been injured (over 2000 KIA) after Pr. Bush said major combat in Iraq is over than during the initial invasion.
This along with not finding any WMDs the noted causa belli of the neocons has I believe hurt Bush's creds.

Why is it always the Bible and movies talk or show to us Jesus as a Baby or later as and adult, when he was around 33 and died.
But what about when he was 17 or 20. they dont show any record, Iam always curious where did he go.

It seems like many people think we can't solve the worlds problems and I hear it from all walks of faith. How are we able then to make it. I'm not a pessimist but I want logical answers from every belief system, without seriously discrediting other belief systems.
