And if he is wrong or makes mistakes - and you must be pretty annoying to upset an angel to the stage where they rebel completely I would have thought, so what's the big deal about him being all seeing and doing, not to mention wonderful? he sounds falible to me. How can he hlep me put my house in order if he cannot do it for himself?

My bank and my phone/internet service providers make me scroll through an automated voice prompt for what seems like forever, and when I do finally get a rep on the phone it feels as if they are reading from a script.

Even though they aren't verbalizing it, I feel as if they are telling me....."Yep, we screwed ya! Not gonna fix it. Deal with it!"

Only what comes out is, " Thank you. Is there anything else I can assist you with today?"

Besides blurting out something that rhymes with 'duck stew,' or ramming the phone up against the wall, do y'all have any clever ways of responding to rude service reps?

They say that no matter who you are God loves you. Even murderers get told "God loves you and forgives you if you just accept him."

Now, think about this, if it were possible could you doom your child/friend/anyone you know personally to spend an eternity in a fiery hell even if you only like them a little? Now what about the person you love. Could you do that then?

If God let's this happen, he does not love us, and we need to stop deluding ourselves.

I understand when female is a pro-choice. She is exercising her free will but what the f… is wrong with pro-hell ppl (pro-life)
According to Mathew bad tree produces bad seeds. SO if female decide to have an abortion than she is bad and only bad seeds can come from her. Also most ppl who are pro-choice are normal ppl (agnostics, non-believers etc…). So before hand we know those children’s besides who knows what earthly life they will have for sure will be tortured in eternal hell. It seems that those Christians who scream they are pro-life know that most of those born kids will be in hell before they even born. SO who do they work for, Devil? It looks like pro-life Christians doing part time job for devil. They want to populate hell. Even if few ppl will manage to get to heaven most of those ppl will ended up in hell. Unless Christians are pro-life only for Christians, and not for the rest of normal world. So to be a Christian means to be pro-hell?

This is kind of a funny story. I work in a setting w/ a lot of Jewish people, maybe 25%. I like & respect them. But I get asked an awful lot if I am Jewish. Or better yet, I just get asked how my Hannukah or Seder or Shabbat was (like I am so obviously Jewish they needn't even question it). Often, when I say" no" or "not at all", they say "Oh, well, you look it." (Jewish people would ask & say this 99% of time) or "Are you sure? You look it."

Ok, so I got married 1.5 years ag. I would say I used to get asked once a month.
So far (1.5 years), not once.

My new last name is very waspy sounding, English ,etc.

So the thing is, why do I "look" Jewish only w/ the "Jewish" last name (which was actually Austrian).

I think maybe sometimes people say you "look it" just because they feel a little foolish when they are wrong, and want to justify it. no?

Thanks & remember I love the Jewish people I work w/ I just find it amusing & odd!

Who do you vote for when student elections come around? Do you usually vote for the most popular kid? Doesn't that make you a douchbag? Shouldn't you let people do the job they're good at?
Honestly answer like you mean it. I don't even car if you're superficial and shallow because the fact is that most people are superficial and shallow. They care about crap like what color the prom decorations should be and unimportant things like that. So although I'm verbally abusing the way you live your life if you're a superficially shallow person, answer with all honesty.

I challenge you to scan the vast number of pages and keep score on who is attacking who........while there are some Christians who respond to provacation, the level of vitriol and malice is not proportional to the sheer volumes of posts that start out abusive and degenerate from there

I propose it does not mean using it as a part of a swear word. Let's analyze why. "In vain" means failure or inability to do something. For example, "They tried in vain to find their car keys"
It also is the word vanity derives from. Vanity is a feeling of excessive pride. To think you are better than something else.

Here is what I propose now.
To take God's name in vain, REALLY means that you say you walk with God, but you don't. You say you follow Christ's path, but you don't. You tell everyone you are close to God when you don't even walk the path he has set out before you. You think because you know God that you are better than everyone else, you are taking God's name in vain to suit your own desires.

Who is with me on this interpretation?

Especially on yahoo answers... you get a few answers saying one thing, then you respond with another question asking about that response and then you get answers saying christians don't believe in that... then you ask about that belief, which you get people saying christians don't believe in that, that they believe in something else :S :S :S
