um, yeah. I guess I'm busted.

I'm doing good actually, as long as I allow myself to some spelling misstakes and pure missunderstanding. Still, I spell better and get it better than a lot of native speakers here. At least that's what I think... Maybe I shouldn't take my good language skills that much for granted.

A decade ago to learn English, you had to attend costly English classes or purchase course material like tapes and books. Now you can learn English for free from the comfort of your home using the internet. The BBC and the British Council offer a number of online courses which teach written and spoken English. You can also improve your English by watching television programs and reading English newspapers. For more information, visit http://tinyurl.com/qnzpt

Most people on Answers need to practice writing English, not just the ones whose primary language is not English.

I'm Japanese, and English is my second language. At first, I thought I could use Y! Answers to practice writing English, but I soon realized that no one corrects my grammatical mistakes. I haven't improved my writing skills at all.

As for reading English, Y! Answers are useless for beginners because some people write SMS language, which is another foreign language to foreigners.

So, I just enjoy reading, writing, and posting answers on Y! Answers.

Yes, I do. I'm german and don't have much possibilities to speak english in my job. So for me it's a great opportunity to practise my english ( sometimes with a dictionary )

I do, it's great to have a variety of topics at my fingertips to write about. I love that people get objective about Love advice, and passionate about current events and politics. If that were true in real life, C-Span would be like wrestling!

I'm very satisfied. Because I can read real English that includes slang and colloquial expressions.

I can't learn cuss words, f words, etc. in textbooks.

But I'm amazed that many Americans don't spell right and don't use proper grammar.

Not bad so far! :)
Sometimes it's kind of hard to get some questions, I guess it's 'cos of the slang. I like the challenge.
