And if he is wrong or makes mistakes - and you must be pretty annoying to upset an angel to the stage where they rebel completely I would have thought, so what's the big deal about him being all seeing and doing, not to mention wonderful? he sounds falible to me. How can he hlep me put my house in order if he cannot do it for himself?

Free will you say and there is nothing wrong with free will. But do you use your free will to go towards good or nice things - or do you use it to go towards things that will be bad for you. These angels apparently decided that things were so bad they couldn't stand it anymore and rebelled because they didn't want to be associated with god presumably; because it is true to say if things had been good and dandy, perfect in fact, then why rebel against it? If you could choose the life of an angel or that of a fallen angel most would select the former because it is probably nicer. So something must have driven the angels away, something really bad must have caused them to leave perfection. Maybe they didn't like his ego all this "I Lord" this and "I created' that, enough to drive anyone away.

some of you seem to say that god allows evil to exist and in fact created it himself - I thought he was all loving and caring. He created the world, then created evil (amongst other things) then apparrently dissappointed that we used this freedom of choice to embrace evil drowned all but a few - if he didn't want us to be evil why create it? And if he saw it was bad enough for mass genocide, why no simply eradicate it so it does not happen again?

yep.

god is supposed to be all knowing, now if god create these angels and IS all knowing then he knew they would be go bad. OR he didnt know and is not all knowing.

the same applies for stan, but in satans case it goes one step further

god creates satan (lucifer at the time) god, who is supposed to be all knowing, knows that satan will turn, revolt and take his angels down to hell. god also know that satan will make people do bad things that get them sent to hell.

god does nothing.

heres th extra part. god is all powerful, with a snap of his fingers (ala Q from Star Trek) god could make satan dissapear. yet god does nothing. so either god CANNOT do anything about satan or god CAN but chooses not to.

interesting, huh?

It sounds to me that you have the wrong idea about angels and you think that they are perfect and have to put up with God. Satan wanted to take the place of God so God put Him out of Heaven along with those who followed Satan. God did not make any mistakes when He created angels nor any of His other creation. He gave us all a conscience and the ability to choose between right and wrong and those angels chose wrong and suffered the consequences. Gods Home in Heaven is in order now that He cast out the disobedient angels. He is patient with us and gives all of us as individuals the time to repent and come to Him and I would suggest you consider before its too late.

No, it just means that angels are not always right.

What drove them away? Maybe they got bored and wanted to try something else. Who knows? Ask Lucifer the next time that you talk to him.

The fact that God allows evil to exist does not imply that God makes mistakes -- if you assume that God has a good reason for allowing evil to exist.

God created angels witha free will just like humans, and one angel named Lucifer also known now as " Satan" was an angel, and because he had a free will he got a lot of pride in himself and thought that he was better than God...and since all angels have free will then some of the angels followed "Satan" and rebelled against God. It wasn't God that created them that way or anything like that, they had the choice to rebel and they took that choice so now they are damned to an eternity in hell just like every non believer that hasn't accepted Christ as his/her personal savior.

Why are so many people confused about free will? That's the problem here, angels have free will, and some of them refused to bow down to man, and quite honestly, I don't really blame them. We're a pretty ignorant bunch you know, I wouldn't bow down to us either. Luckily, God didn't ask me to.

The thing is that He gave us free will, whether we are intelligent enough for that responsibility or not. We can't be blaming Him because we're stupid.

God is always right. He knows and understands more than we can even imagine.

But, to our own understanding, we can look at it like this.

If our own children were somehow programmed robots, who never questioned, never thought, never gave a response other than what we have programmed in. How could they ever Love us. We want to be loved for who and what we are, so does God, so he gave us free will. This free will has been interpreted widely, but all it really is, is the ability to accept(love) him or to reject (deny) him. We have only these two choices. We cannot fence ride as many want to. We have to make the choice to love and accept, or we by default deny him.
Hope this very human analogy helps a bit.

It does raise the question of whether god knows what his creations will do at the time he creates them. If he doesn't or can't control it, that's a limit upon his power. On the other hand if he does, then what responsbility to the creations have for just doing what he created them to do?

you forget to mention that god himself created evil as stated in the bible.

Isaiah 45:7
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

So if he is pure and holy and can not sin or have an evil thought, how then does he create it? so according to the bible god DOES make mistakes. (dont forget, god looked at the world saw that it was evil and this disappointed him, so he sent the flood) if god was disappointed in what he saw, whyd he make it? if you were perfect, would you make something so imperfect as to disappoint you?

Uh-oh! Did I sense a little bit of uneasiness at the skewed logic perpetuated by the religious hardcore? Is it possible that some things just simply don't make sense?

Don't worry- that's just something else you need to chalk up to the "just have faith" excuse.

No, it means that angels aren't robots. The evil ones just have to learn that their lack of values for life is cruel.
