Jesus Christ died for us so that we might have the chance at ever lasting life in pradise. What is he doing now ? He is in the heavans with his father Jehovah God awaiting the final day when Arrmagedon happens and then he will be the one along with 144.000 anointed heavan bound humans who will rule the earth for 1000 years over all of the people that God deems were good christians duing their time here on earth today as well as all the ones that will be resurected and judged.
The question should be what is God doing for you today. That answer would be hes giving you time to make the choice to be one of his people or not and then his blessing will follow .

JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY WAY.
Jesus died for us on the cross as a final sacrifice for our sins, so they did not have to sacrifice animals at the altar anymore, and when Jesus was sacrificed, the veil to the tabernacle split in two from top to bottom(so it couldn't have been physically ripped by any human being), that signified that Jesus was the new sacrifice.
We can be saved through Jesus and forgiven of our sins, if we repent and turn away, and believe he rose, and will return, when we turn our lives over to the Lord, we receive the Holy Spirit, and will always have Gods Love, and protection from evil, we will have an eternal life in the New Kingdom free from evil and sin.
The Lord will work wonders in our new life in Christ. Believe me I know, I suffered and addiction for 16 years, and when Christ came into my life, it was gone, and my life has changed completely.

He died for us, He tolerated being on this world for 40+ years. (48?) You and I wouldn't be able to even guess what it's like coming down from heaven, HEAVEN, and living for four - five decades on this land, with all the wars, murders, rapists, lieing occultic religions, even lieing priests who 'lead people to God' but aren't really believers and just do it for the money. Basicly, all the troubles that man inflicts upon itself, Jesus had to walk amongst. That is likeing living in a mansion, to decide to traverse the sewers for a few years.
He also constantly protects us through His angels; that's pretty cool too. He speaks to us, and helps us know His Father more. As someone else said, He also intercedes for us at the Father's throne, and that's immensly important.
He does many things, some of which we probably don't even know. The things we DO know are amazing as it is, and more than we deserve.
Blessed be our God, and glory unto our King His son.

Simple:
Romans 10:9 (English Standard Version)
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 6:23 (English Standard Version)
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord

He provides sinners the opportunity to be in Heaven with God when we die. He is the bridge between man and God.
For God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son for whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life! John 3:16

He said some interesting things, if he existed. But then again a lot of people throughout history have said interesting, thought-provoking, life-changing things.

He mows my lawn.
Assuming we ARE talking about my Mexican yard-worker, Jesus (Hey-Zuse). I figured we were. That works.
