Okay, my grandmother and aunts were Christian Scientists and this faith or denomination worked beautifully for them. I have a lot of respect for it. It's "cerebral," definitely challenging.
I tried going to a CS church here in Virginia and there were about 10 old people there. I really didn't understand much of the service.

I saw a show on BIOGRAPHY I think that really sort of made Mary Baker Eddy out to be a sort of novel 'celebrity of the moment.'
My grandmother respected her highly. What's my question? I don't know...I'd like some objective info rather than going to the Christian Science Reading Room. CS seems like too lonely a place for me to be right now. Thanks for any info at all.....

I'm asking this again in the hope I'll get at least one intelligent response.

Why is it considered socially acceptable for men to be judged by to opposite sex based on baldness and/or lack of height (both of which are unpreventable), but one is not allowed to judge a woman based on her weight (which it TOTALLY preventable)?

I teach physiology courses and actually had a student offended when I stated "the amount of fat you have". She started on about how women are judged based on "something they can't help", which she further elaborated as their weight. I disagreed totally and explained how weight is 100% controllable, and then asked her if she would date a man 4-5 inches shorter than her (NO), or a man with male pattern baldness (NO). When presented with these scenarios, she quickly silenced up.

I am a hispanic male that owns a well established swim pool and landscape business since 1989 just North of Los Angeles, when I bid jobs to white people it seems that I never get taken seriously and rarely get the job, they always hire the white contractor instead of me even though I have been in business longer and do outstanding work. Sometimes I get funny looks, and sometimes outright rude attitudes, one white woman asked me where is the boss man? her eyes almost popped out her skull when I told her that I was the owner, she assumed I was a day laboror.

It's been a year since my boyfriends death I have tried to keep everything that mattered to us. But I'm loosing things, especially all of my e-mails from my hotmail account. They deleted all of our e-mail because i hadn't logged in for a while and now, I can't get it back.
I feel so bad it's like God took him away and now he is just throwing away out memories. I feel so bad, it's like God is saying 'No, u can't have him or happy memories. but what u can do is watch other people enjoy their relationship.' Thats another thing 2, God took everything away and is now surround me with people who has everything he took from me. Not saying its all his fault but, why take away my bf and surround me with couples, why take away my finances and surround me with people purchasing multiple cars and clothes and I don't have anything.
Why does God do this type of stuff?
