I think that thinking more and talking less is a good piece of advise for everyone on this planet, let alone for the christians.

Someone asked Gurdjieff, "Can something be done to stop wars?" He said, "Nothing can be done -- because those who are fighting, they are fast asleep, and those who are pacifists, they are fast asleep. And everyone is going on in a sleep. These happenings are natural, inevitable. Unless man is awake, nothing can be changed, because these are all just by-products of his sleep. He will fight; he cannot be stopped from fighting. Only the causes can be changed."

A happy medium is the key. If Christians spend all their time talking and not learning or listening, then they become the proverbial fool. The first verse of Proverbs lays out the importance of thinking/learning. Proverbs 1:2-6 says, " to know wisdom and instruction; to recognize the words of understanding;to receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and uprightness; to give sense to the simple, knowledge and judgment to the young man; the wise hears and increases learning; and understanding ones get wisdom;to understand a proverb and its meaning; the words of the wise, and their acute sayings

I defiantly think that would be a YES. I would Christians would actually be different than the rest of the world. It seems they are always preaching and taking the so called higher road, but it just makes people mad and actually pushes them farther away from Christianity.

i am so tired of people assuming that because we Christians beleive in a higher power we are stupid. There are Christian doctors, lawyers, teachers. We have a surgeon in my church who went to Africa for 2 years to teach surgery to doctors in Gabon. you are putting us in a box. I work for a Workers' Comp law firm and we have a lot of blacks and hispanic clients who are really taking advantage of the system. does that mean that all blacks and hispanics are losers? of course not. i agree that some Christians should shut up. i am a Christian and i don't like it when other Christians tell me i'm not a good enough Christian because i may disagree with them. but that doesn't mean i want all of them to be quiet

Yes, just as everyone else should.

James 1:19-20 "My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires."

Everyone needs to do this...not just Christians.

The ones who talk a lot should... But a lot of Christians are nice, intelligent people - you just don't hear of them so much because they spend more time in reflection than trying to push their opinions on people.

Oh! You mean censorship. How liberal and open minded of you. Ever heard the term of freedom of expression? I think you would do well in a closed society that allows only your babble. :o)

I think it should be the case for everyone... why just Christians? Seems there's a great deal of atheists, agnostics, Muslims, Pagans and everyone else who talk out their other orifices.
