Dark_Phoenix obviously hasn't tried taking a child into a pub in England - that is a classic case of child-UNfriendly. I think Ireland is much better than that (I spent time in Dublin & did see children sometimes - especially if it was a bar&grill).

I have never heard of a child-unfriendly country! Every country tolerates and welcomes children. How else would their population reproduce?!
