I read a very famous Islamic book (Badi'e Al Fawa'id by Muhammed Ibn Abu Bakr), which was re-published in Mecca, Saudi Arabia in 1996. In that book I found a Fatwa that looks too weird to me. This Fatwa gives a permission for Muslim men to have concubines (female slaves) and to have sex with them regardless of their age. Is there any Muslim to comment on this Fatwa?

I hate how my job needs me to work in the evening and at night because I need to get up for school at 6:30 in the morning. I am also moving like 30 min away from my job in 2 weeks. I have another job, a part time job (like 10 hours a week) where I could earn money untill I find a better job. Should I just quit and look for a job in my new neighborhood when I move? I'm not a scientologist, but I was wondering, how this idea or faith sells. I see alot of references to many self-help concepts, but the alien thing? They do have lots of money and money does alot of things. I wonder what evidence they could possibly have, and could they have strong ties to intelligence agaencies and their plethora of knowledge. I was thinking about some of the actors involved. John travolta has done a few movies with deep metaphysical concepts. And Robin Williams. I don't think he is a scientologist, but look at some of his movies. Oh well. Just a thought. Any comments?

I keep seeing people say that no sin is worse than any other in the eyes of god. This clearly makes no sense if god is just. Some crimes are worse than others and deserve greater punishment. Such a concept isn't even Biblical. The following all support the idea of degrees of sin: Ex. 32:30, Ezek. 23:11, 1 John 5:16, Mk. 3:28-30.

I have taken alot of time to go through and read many of the questions posted on this site. I enjoy being able to help where I can and offer insight on things I have experienced. I have begun to wonder why some of you are here though. I recently viewed a question where most of the answers were racist, predjudiced, some just plain silly. Does anyone here actually care about the answers they are giving or is it just a place for you to come and vent the anger of your day? Is this a place to assist those who need a little bit of help, or a place where you can get away with abuse because it's black and white instead of face to face? I don't want to sound judgemental, that's not what I'm all about, but I've seen so many answers that make me wonder what is going on in peoples minds. I am married and have 2 children and another on the way- mid 30s. My close friend from growing up is single and unattached. She has been very generous for all of the occasions in my life- engagement, wedding, birth of children, children's birthdays, christmas, chanukah & valentine gifts for my kids- the list goes on and on. She ain't exactly rich- she's just very thoughtful, very giving and a great friend. So the problem is, we never get to reciprocate. For a long time we just figured that she would settle down and we'd get our chance to celebrate her milestones- but as it seems less and less likely we need a new plan. What can we do that express our gratitude for her friendship and generosity, without shining a light on the fact that she doesn't have some of the things in her life to celebrate that she wants? My wife and I are at a total loss- any ideas?

i have stolen a little ink-eraser when i was abt 10 years old(all my friends had one,& i was fascinated by them.i can remember the shop attendants asking me what i was desperately clutching in my hands,haha)

the otherz were a few stamps(still at 10 years old)from one of my friends.she saw them & asked me where i got them frm to which i replied they were mine.she made me pomise in God's name & told me i would die in 10 days)hey,but here i am 8 yrs later in well health!
