I hate how my job needs me to work in the evening and at night because I need to get up for school at 6:30 in the morning. I am also moving like 30 min away from my job in 2 weeks. I have another job, a part time job (like 10 hours a week) where I could earn money untill I find a better job. Should I just quit and look for a job in my new neighborhood when I move? Thank you in advance for your advice!

What I mean is that I have two jobs....The one is only 10 hours a week and I still will be working there. The other one is like 15-20 hours a week and that is the one I am talking about quitting.

I think you should quite the job which times u hate. It'll be easier on yourself if u find a job that's fun, easy 4 u and close 2 home. Make things easier on yourself not harder. Good Luck.

First of all, is there any time to work during the day at the job you're considering keeping? Secondly, do you make enough $ at your second job or have enough saved to live off of for a few weeks while you search for a job? Cuz 10 hours a week doesn't usually add up to much on payroll. Have you talked to your boss(es)? Maybe it's possible that if you leave one job the other can take you on full time (or at least more than 20 hours a week) with more desirable shifts. I wouldn't go quitting without giving your employer the opportunity to cooperate with your request. If you have a good working relationship and good pay, you really need to explore all options before just quitting for a new job. It could hurt your references when you do look for a new job, say after you finish school. Just sit down with them and tell them how hard it is to work late at night with your schedule when you have x amount of hours available to work during the day to work. See what they say before you start packing up your office. Good luck!

It really depends upon how much you need the money. Is it possible that you could get more hours at your other job? Try that, and start looking for a job in your new neighborhood. But if you need the money from your current job, don't quit it until you have found a new one. Whatever you do, don't just quit, make sure you give your 2 weeks notice.

you sound like a teenager who has an awful lot on her plate! I am a teacher and I hope that these jobs are not detracting you from getting a good education. The late hours imply that you cannot possibly be dedicating enough time to your studies. Ask yourself if you really need the money(you might, I dno't know your situation) If you don't then think about this..... you are really close to adulthood already, focus on getting a good education now, then you can deal with getting a really good job when you are finished with your schooling. material things can wait. A higher education will buy you alot better life in the future.

Do not quit untill you've found another job. It will be easier on your pockets. But since you have a part time job.......I really think you should consider waiting because....your part time only offers 10 hours a week. Why don't you ask for more hours on your part time job? Good Luck!!!! -Vanity

Look for a job FIRST... Find a new job FIRST.. You DEF do not want to have to choose between work and school, so if you already have a job lined up for yourself, THEN QUIT. Good luck

There are many criteria for quitting, or keeping a job. The most important is:- Is it affecting your health, mentally or physically. If it is then walk away now. You and your health are more important than any damned job. I know I've done it. Good Luck.

well if you need the money i would wait untill you have another job.... but if its effecting your grades.... then i would probably think about it... also if your moving that added stress and time you probably dont have already.... sounds like the perfect time.
