I have taken alot of time to go through and read many of the questions posted on this site. I enjoy being able to help where I can and offer insight on things I have experienced. I have begun to wonder why some of you are here though. I recently viewed a question where most of the answers were racist, predjudiced, some just plain silly. Does anyone here actually care about the answers they are giving or is it just a place for you to come and vent the anger of your day? Is this a place to assist those who need a little bit of help, or a place where you can get away with abuse because it's black and white instead of face to face? I don't want to sound judgemental, that's not what I'm all about, but I've seen so many answers that make me wonder what is going on in peoples minds. Please feel free to answer, whether positivly or negativly I'd like to know your insights. Thank You.

I appreciate all of you answering this, It is good to know there is more to this world than hate and racism. I understand we do not live in a utopian society, though I do my best to offer compassion and kindness to everyone. Please, continue to answer or update your answers, I have read many good insights and look forward to more.

I have seriously received some wonderful help on this sight! I do wonder at some of questions and responses.I think it's opened my eyes to the way a lot of people think.I don't think Yahoo had this in mind when they started this forum. The hate I see here sometimes amazes me.Do people really think this way?
Like you I enjoy offering my insights.I try to answer the question I have some knowledge about.
I think your right about that face to face correspondence would be very different.What happened to people just being nice?Best Wishes.♥

Does vanity assume that all the people on here are either in America or, indeed, American? This is why some individuals get angry!
The world is a twisted place and this site is merely a microcosm of it. A mirror of all the nations fortunate enough to be able to access such devices.
I personally react to, and answer, questions depending on my state of mind and the actual question posted (the one which takes my eye).
If you want to live in a world where ethics and compassion abound, then you should get seriously pro-active.
Maybe learn about ethics and compassion...

That is a really clever and serious question,i have only been on here for a short period of time but in which many times i have thought to myself the same that you have written. I am extremely surprised at the amount of silly question there is on here, and the amount of silly answer they give. i give my views on many different and varied subjects but some are just plain stupid which i choose to ignore most of the time. I was shocked at the amount of racist questions there is, it is same as being racist face to face.I do hope this is not a place for people to vent there anger!!

I like that, I feel the same way. It is based on all the kids coming on the site, I see a lot of postings where they even say they are 13, and you can tell that a lot of them are high schooler's as well. Although, not to discriminate to everybody, I have also seen some very intelligent questions from some of them, and some very stupid questions from adults. I just try to leave those types of questions and people alone and help those who are sincere about their questions, wanting a sincere answer. I know that's what i want from people when I post a question.

Shadow, I understand your concern.
I wish people would take this forum more seriously and respond with more grace and dignity and GOOD SENSE to both questions and answers.
However, some people who frequent this site are very young, some are very angry, some are very lonely, some are very bored, some are very confused, and some just like to push other peoples' buttons.
This is the nature of the internet. Some people tend to be at their worst when they can do it 'anonymously'.
But don't let this stop you from doing what you can to make a difference in a positive way here and everywhere else in your life.
It's a big job but somebody's gotta do it, or we are all in big trouble.

I can't speak for everyone, but i come here to vent a little, but i do that on my own page. But i do answer all the questions honestly. This place can be a place to assist those who do need help. Some people are cowards and they find it easier to abuse someone in black and white than to that person's face.

Because it is black and white, there isn't a face to put to those words. What I mean is no one is accountable for what they say here making it easier for the ugliness to come out. I agree with you and I think it is sad that some of us really do try to offer our insight and then there are others that obviously have nothing better to do than be cruel and rude.

Well you have to understand that most of the people in yahoo world are ignorant and if they were face to with the person they where attacking they would not be able to do it. People are bored with life and there brains cannot think out side the box.Yahoo is for venting mostly not helping if you help 3 out if hundred it better than nothing. Yahoo is for sex,yahoo is for freaks and geeks, Yahoo is for love , yahoo is limited to what it can do it takes you out of Reality... and some people who just like to talk

I started playing online games a few years ago and i've come to the conclusion that the majority of people on the internet don't care who they hurt or what they say because they can't see you. It's not just America it's worldwide. People will act like jerks because nobody knows who they are behind their computer screens.
I like to assist if i can, giggle at a good clean joke, then move on. There's enough hatred in this world without me adding to it.
