I was at a wedding yesterday. After the service a very nice boy came to greet me and we chatted for a while. The longer we talked the more I felt I guess an unseen aura or presence from his words and it seemed that in a good way I was sinking into it. Isnt that like our adoring the Lord ? We talk to Him and His presence envelops us. The more he smiled and laughed in such a sweet and gentle way I seemed to be drawn to him. We hung out until after the wedding and were quite amused with each others humor. Then at the last moment we had to say our goodbyes. He seemed so innocent and so pure. i didnt feel any sexual stuff coming from him. He went to hug me and I gladly responded. I felt so tiny in his hug..and warm and safe. Then we bothed turned to each other and he gently kissed me on the lips...more like a brother than a lover. I was so enamoured with that kiss until even after I was home and in bed.Do you think I or we are like that becoz Im created a creature of worship ?

I have a business plan ready to go, the business plan is set, with the exception of paid employees. In a non profit business can you pay employees and yourself, or is that illegal? I have asked people, and get different answers.

Anyone have any good books on the Non Profit matter either, it is a homeless shelter I am starting up, and I am rather excited about it.

why do us girls & women complain so much & feel we aren't good enough for a man? we're always trying to be RIGHT for a man. are men what make us beautiful? I mean seriously. Do you agree with K. Marx's quote, "religion is the opium of the masses"...?

Personally, I think it applies to organized religion. I believe nobody can tell you who to worship and what "values" to believe, nor can the religious powers determin if you "will be saved" or not.

No religion or belief system is more true than the other, nobody holds the absolute key to life, because we, as mortal human beings, simply don't have the answers about the true nature and purpose of our universe. Nobody knows for sure.

So, I believe marx is right when he compares religion to a drug. Organized religion, when based on sheepish following and not on rational and personal individual opinions, acts as nothing more than a way to keep masses controlled, dumbed down, "addicted", and dependant on those that are in power.
Religion has been used to cement the social order of the Middle Ages, promote colonialism, racism, war, agression, etc.

What do you think? Is religion a tool of social control, or not?
