in that verse it says if there is between you and someone else enmity, then treat him like a very close friend. and whoever recieve this gift except the patient and the lucky ones.

Quran 41:34
[34] The good deed and the evil deed cannot be equal. Repel (the evil) with one which is better, then verily he, between whom and you there was enmity, (will become) as though he was a close friend.

[35] But none is granted it (the above quality) except those who are patient - and none is granted it except the owner of the great portion in this world.

it's not only in christianity.

do you people know that there are some people who prefer to have sex with animals? should we accept their "sexuality" too??? BS..... now you are thinking that animal is not a human being, so it's different..... but i have another example...
do you know that there are people who prefer to have sex with little kids? "Mr. Jackson for example :-)..... Should we accept their sexuality too??? now, you can't say that kids are not human beings...

yes, i think that HOMOsexuality, Pedophilia, and Bestiality are in the same category....

THE WORLD IS LOOSING MORALS.... 50 years ago homosexuality became pretty much socially acceptable.... few years from now Bestiality will be accepted, and another 50 years and pedophilia will be accepted.

BUT IS IT RIGHT? no, of course, so we gotta cut it short where it began... at the Homosexuality.

I was out with co workers Friday night drinking. I was sitting next to a male manager. He said he loved me in front of everyone and laid his head on my shoulder. Then he went to the bathroom so I went at the same time. We were standing at the urinals with a half wall between us. I saw him looking at my di ck and I looked at his. It looked like he was playing with it...but I did not stare...I was afraid he would tell everyone. Then I went for a ride with him and he mentioned to me that his wife is fat. Was he sending me a message? Or was he just being friendly because he was drunk...or was he hoping I was drunk enough to blow him. If he had asked I would have said yes.

And I want more than just "because God says so".
How can saying a word be bad? You can offend someone without using profanity, so why the taboo?

Throughout history many used Christanity to futher their cause, be it political, military, governmental etc. Some attempt to make reference to these historic figures as to prove the lack of credibilty in Christianity. Jesus said you shall know them by their fruits. Many even go as far as to hold up Adolph Hitler as a prime example of a Christian, of course they are not intellectually honest. Hitler said Christanity was the cancer of humanity on Oct 13 1941. At the same time he is not an example of a typical atheist as well, the truth is he was pure evil. The true test of a "Christian" is their fruits. If you see murder, rape, torture, fallen pastors etc..we must ask ourselves if they are "really" typical examples of Christians. We can easily find examples (unfairly) of ANY belief to un fairly characterize anyone. Hitler loved German Sheperds...does than mean dog lovers are evil?
I can point to dozen of horrible atheist from the past...does that mean everyone is exactly like them?

is it full of heart orwhat?
---------------------------------
Where Love is forbidden hearts will harden as like rock.
Love will Feel as if it was better to not know of it.
Words shall mute themself as if a tongue was cut off and speaking became impossible.
False things shall be said as if gossip or slander.
Words will be falsely extorted.
They will concern that you mean the opposite of what you say, if you know those bad things they say of you are false, you do not need to act on it for only you know your reason and that reason is love in which if you have love in your heart, your heart will bear many fruits.

Atheist, instead of blasting Christians over their false faith. And Christians, instead of blasting Atheists use of science and facts. Why dont we just learn to look out for out future instead of our past. What difference does it make how we were created?? Just let Christians believe that THEY were created by an imaginery character and let Athiests believe that THEY were created by years of evolving and advancements. Dont we have bigger problems to worry about?
This applies to all religions as well!

My husband and I want to move to a larger city (such as the size of Seattle). What are some good locations that have decent housing prices, good jobs (I am a massage therapist, he's a government contractor right now) and low crime rates? I've done research online, but I'd really like to know what people who live or have lived in certain cities have to say....

"Do you think you are going to go to Heaven when you die?"

The Good News - How to be saved from Hell. Answer

How do you know the Bible is true? Answer

Response to 'Do you think you are going to go to Heaven?' How does your response compare?

* Yes (55%)
* Hope so - Not sure (35%)
* Going to hell (4%)
* There is no heaven (6%)

If you know you are going to Hell, or if you deny there is any Heaven or Hell, we strongly urge you to consider your situation very carefully. We are convinced that Hell is a very real place. See why, and learn why you will want to avoid it at all costs. We know the topic is unpleasant, but this issue is much too important to ignore.

* Is there an actual place called “Hell”?
* Why was Hell made?
* Is there anyone in Hell today?
* Will there literally be a burning fire in Hell?
* What should you be willing to do to stay out of Hell?
* How can a God of love send anybody to Hell?
* What if I don't believe in Hell?

Beware, although most people say “yes” or “I think so” when asked “Are you going to Heaven?”, many are sadly incorrect about their ultimate destination. Most believe they qualify for Heaven because of one of the following wrong reasons.

I'm basically a good person "I'm basically a good person" (60%)
When you say you believe you are a pretty decent person, keep in mind that it is because you are comparing yourself on man's scale, not on God's. If you compare yourself to Hitler or Charles Manson, certainly you seem to be "good". But what if you compared yourself to Mother Teresa? Most people fall somewhere in the middle of these two extremes.

The Bible teaches that no one is good (Romans 3:10). Not you. Not me. Not Mother Teresa. Not the Catholic saints. Not even the Prophets God sent to earth in centuries past. Only God is good. (Luke 18:18-20)

Do you realize that it is impossible for a good, holy, perfect, truthful God to have in His presence anyone who has even made one mistake? Since that is the case, we have a problem: how can we come to live with a Holy God?

I haven't harmed anybody "I've never hurt anyone" (2% response)
Are you sure you've never hurt anyone? Have you considered the things you speak to others? Jesus warns in Matthew 5:21-22 that even being unjustly angry with someone puts you in danger of judgment. Also, how many people have you hurt because of things you failed to do?

I try to keep the 10 Commandments "I've tried to keep the 10 Commandments" (5%)
First, take a look at this before answering:
What does God expect of me?

Now can you honestly say you've never lied--even a "little white lie"? Never stolen--even just a paper clip? Perhaps you've never committed adultery in the physical act, but did you know that Jesus said that lusting after someone is the same to God?

If you've broken even just one law one time, that makes you a lawbreaker. If you will listen, your own conscience will tell you that you are certainly a law breaker.
See: Am I good enough for heaven?

I go to church "I go to church" (8%)
Going to church is a good thing. (See >> Why should Christians go to church? and >> How can I find a good church?) But if you think that just going to church is good enough to earn your way to heaven, take a look at Romans 3:27 and Ephesians 2:8. These passages are clear that nothing we can do on earth (like trying to go to church to gain merit with God) can make us righteous in His never-failing sight.

Jesus had strong words for the Pharisees of His day. They tried to merit favor with God by acting religious. But Jesus called them "a brood of vipers". See also Matthew 9:11, 12:39, 16:1-4; Luke 7:39, 18:11.

I believe in God "I believe in God" (10%)
Perhaps you think that belief in God is good enough to get you to heaven. But consider this: since Satan and his demons believe that God is real, does that mean they too will be in heaven? (James 2:19) See also Romans 1:20.

I've done the best I could "I've done the best I could" (15%)
Maybe you have tried to do the right thing for the most part. You've made some mistakes, and if God weighs your good deeds vs. your bad deeds, you hope you will come out ok. Again, we have the problem that if you have only sinned once in your life, you've still broken God's law and are a lawbreaker. God sees our righteousness as "filthy rags". When we think of God's standard of holiness, we don't even come close! (See >> How good is good enough?)

We have all broken God's laws and stand guilty before a holy God.

Just as a human judge must enforce justice and punish evildoers, God, who is completely just, holy and righteous, must also punish sin.

for example, verse 4:34 of the koran:

"men have superiority over women because god has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. good women are obedient. they guard their unseen parts because god has guarded them. as for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them, forsake them in beds apart, and beat them."

2006-08-20 14:44:15 · 12 answers · asked by Anonymous in Religion & Spirituality

Your beliefs don't even have to factor in to this question. It's a question about logical arguments. Is it even possible to ever prove 100% for sure that God doesn't exist. I don't think it is. I don't think He exists, but it can never ever be proven. If I said "I believe there is another Earth-like planet in the universe somewhere." Scientists could look forever for it but you could never prove it isn't there. You can always say that you just haven't yet found it. It doesn't matter if you search for one million years or more, all it means is that you haven't found it YET.

But I think 10,000 years or more from now, if human beings are still on the Earth, everyone will have to be atheist. Science will be so advanced it will explain everything anyway. Plus, imagine 10,000 with no miracles, no prayers coming true, no Jesus returning to Earth, etc, nobody could possibly still believe. People believe now because it still seems possible Revelation could come true, I suppose.

Atheists often point to the bad things done in the name of religion to say religion is the root of all evil, but that's flawed because religion doesn't lose or gain merit based on the fact that people like to twist it for their own selfish purposes. There are often other underlying motives like politics or greed. Would you ever hear atheists saying that sex or money is the root of all evil, because they lead to rape, pedophilia,stds, adultery, robbery, fraud, and murder? A lot of atheists also assume or simply want to believe that because Hitler was a Catholic, he killed the Jews based on religion. Anti-Semitism in the 20th century was primarily racial and Hitler wanted to create an Aryan race. A Christian with some Jewish blood was still defined as a Jew. Stalin and Mao killed more
people than all the religious wars combined, so does that make atheism lose merit?
