America is the "melting-pot" of the world with the largest percentage of immigrants than any other country. (The recent immigrants do not lack passion for their cultures.) I would think that the original English settlers lost their English passion during the Boston Tea Party and the wars that followed. It's been said that the initial settlers were English convicts so I doubt they posessed English passion while in England. So since America is no longer English, yes, they lack English passion.

I don't get this question, How can Americans lack real English passion and pride if they are not English......... They are Americans not Brits.

i think Americans have there own passions as clearly they are not English but they also have a pride in themselves just as the French have passion and pride and so on

I am an American, and my ancestors were German and Lithuanian. I have no English pride and passion because I am not English. Very few current Americans are.

No we just have a real sh*t for pres now and its hard to be proud of some of "his" choices. As for passion you need to come here to see the passion, because believe me that we have in abundance.
