You're right. Absolutely correct. Oh it's true it's true. What sickens me the most is that atheist can't get it into their thick skull, there is GOD. You fools keep saying there is no physical evidence. If you call the bible superstitious, then you are 20 years late. There are lot of physical proof. The trees , The Sun , the MOON. we can't just come to earth just like that. Just like someone created the CARS, the airplanes we move in.May be you should go to Israel one day. Oh it's true there is GOD. Lots of famous scientist are atheist Albert Einstein, Steven jay Gould, James Watson. to mention a few. it's a pity they would wind up in HELL. It's only fools who don't believe in God.
However, the existence of God cannot be proven or disproved. The Bible even says that we must accept by faith the fact that God exists, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). If God so desired, He could simply appear and prove to the whole world that He exists. But if He did that, there would be no need for faith. "Then Jesus told him, 'Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed'” (John 20:29).
That does not mean, however, that there is not evidence of God’s existence. The Bible declares, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world” (Psalm 19:1-4). Looking at the stars, understanding the vastness of the universe, observing the wonders of nature, seeing the beauty of a sunset – all of these things point to a Creator God. If these were not enough, there is also evidence of God in our own hearts. Ecclesiastes 3:11 tells us, “…He has also set eternity in the hearts of men…” There is something deep down in our beings that recognizes that there is something beyond this life and someone beyond this world. We can deny this knowledge intellectually, but God’s presence in us and through us is still there. Despite all of this, the Bible warns us that some will still deny God’s existence, “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’” (Psalm 14:1). Since over 98% of people throughout history, in all cultures, in all civilizations, on all continents believe in the existence of some kind of God – there must be something (or someone) causing this belief.
In addition to the Biblical arguments for God’s existence, there are logical arguments. First, there is the ontological argument. The most popular form of the ontological argument basically uses the concept of God to prove God’s existence. It begins with the definition of God as “that than which no greater can be conceived.” It is then argued that to exist is greater than to not exist, and therefore the greatest conceivable being must exist. If God did not exist then God would not be the greatest conceivable being - but that would contradict God's very definition. A second is the teleological argument. The teleological argument is that since the universe displays such an amazing design, there must have been a Divine designer. For example, if earth were even a few hundred miles closer or further away from the sun, it would not be capable of supporting much of the life it currently does. If the elements in our atmosphere were even a few percentage points different, every living thing on earth would die. The odds of a single protein molecule forming by chance is 1 in 10243 (that is a 10 followed by 243 0’s). A single cell is comprised of millions of protein molecules.
A third logical argument for God’s existence is called the cosmological argument. Every effect must have a cause. This universe and everything in it is an effect. There must be something that caused everything to come into existence. Ultimately, there must be something “un-caused” in order to cause everything else to come into existence. That “un-caused” something is God. A fourth argument is known as the moral argument. Every culture throughout history has had some form of law. Everyone has a sense of right and wrong. Murder, lying, stealing, and immorality are almost universally rejected. Where did this sense of right and wrong come from if not from a holy God?
Despite all of this, the Bible tells us that people will reject the clear and undeniable knowledge of God and instead believe a lie. Romans 1:25 declares, “They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator - who is forever praised. Amen.” The Bible also proclaims that people are without excuse for not believing in God, “For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse” (Romans 1:20).
People claim to not believe in God because it is “not scientific” or “because there is no proof.” The true reason is that once people admit that there is a God, they also must realize that they are responsible to God and in need of forgiveness from God (Romans 3:23; 6:23). If God exists, then we are accountable for our actions to Him. If God does not exist, then we can do whatever we want without having to worry about God judging us. I believe that is why evolution is so strongly clung to by many in our society - to give people an alternative to believing in a Creator God. God exists and ultimately everyone knows that He exists. The very fact that some attempt so aggressively to disprove His existence is in fact an argument for His existence.

If your question is unbiased and only meant to unite both sides, why did you use the phrase "false faith?" Seems as though you are leaning slightly to the agnostic or atheistic side. That's ok too. I harbor no malice or ill feelings to those that don't believe the same as me, I just want the same respect about my beliefs. As Christians, and according to what we believe we are to "Go and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost; Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded to you: and, lo, I am with you always even unto the end of the world." That is what we are told and what we obey. Just because some people don't feel that way, doesn't mean that I think less of them. And part of our belief is how we got here.
But I also go by the scripture that says--"And whosoever should not receive you not hear your words when you depart out of that house or city, shake of the dust of your feet." In other words, once I do as I am commanded by God's word, it is in your hands to believe or not, and it is not on me if you don't....so I just let it be. This question & answer section is here for people to give their answers (which are often no more than opinions) and you either agree or disagree. Maybe it changes someone's life, maybe not. Either way, it is up to the individual. Just like this answer, it is just MY OPINION.;-)

Yes we have huge problems to worry about. one THE fundamental problems being that people wonder about what their purpose in life is. Christians believe that God created them so they beleive that their purpose in life is to wait for the second coming and live as a righteous people according to the dictates of the Bible. The same applies to Judaism and Jews who are still waiting for Christ and they adhere to the Torah. The same goes for the followers of Islam. I'm not that familiar with the religion of Islam but i'm sure they're waitng for something. As for Atheists, they believe that through the process of evolution they became man. Many atheists believe that they ahve many different purposes but at least they believe they have a purpose in life. Now we look upon the man/woman that has no religion and believes that there is more to life than just what lays before them. They struggle through life wondering why the heck they are there. What's the point of living if there is nothing to live for? People need resolution on important issues like these in order to move on with their lives and become contributing members of society. So whether they be Christian or Aetheist, people need to find some kind of resolution in their lives as to where they came from, where they are going and what their purpose in life is or the societies that we have built will come to a screeching halt while people search for the answers to these questions. That is why people need to know where they came from, be it from a divine authority such as God, or that they are the product of millions of years of evolution.

Its funny how some people would answer this question with a sermon and scriptures from the bible to support their argument when its the very thing put in question. This is solely my opinion and a opinion it will only be. In theory, lets say two babies were born in a world like today...and as these babies grow up into adolescences and into their teens...respectively to each his/her own one being strictly in the belief of religion..which ever you may choose and the other in science...what do you think you would see by observing and speaking to these two different individuals as full grown adults? Now imagine two earths...one with the belief of religion and the other science. What do you see...imagine. Do you see it? Which would you like to live in? World #1 or world #2? Which is better? Is it better? Would the boy taught for science concern himself with religion. THere are some people in this world that do not have a strong mind to surpass the difficulties of tragedy and eventual demise. I see them reach for religion. There are many many intelligent, smart, funny people who believe in a god. There are also very ignorant, stupid, dumb and just plain not bright people who also believe in religion. I havent met one stupid or ignorant or somewhat not bright person who believes in evolution or science theory. I think the fate of our species depends on it. Eventually the net will fish out the misconceptions for the good of our future greatgrandchildren. as scientists we seek this knowledge for the better of our future. Maybe a alien will come down and tell us what the big deal is about.

If it were just a matter of belief i would agree. but its not, the problem is when people use their belief to justify their actions, such as the "holy wars" in the middle east. Today it is muslims in the past christians had the crusades. Who will it be in the future?
I truly believe if religion is too much of a barrier. It teaches love for others.....but especially those of your same religion. i had some people knocking on my door today talking about god, when i said i didnt believe in god they looked at me like i was evil and left shortly after. I am glad they left becuase i wasnt interested however they left not out of respect but out of hate.
When people stop using gods or demons to justify their actions instead of taking responsibility i will stop bashing them.

I could believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster - it shouldn't bother you.
I think its important that we look at the world around us and see what we can do to make things better. More important then the old 'evolution vs creation' debate that will probably continue until the sky folds up and the end music is played.

Some peopleonly have faith. To believe in God is allsopeople have. The difference is tremendous for people who believe. They use god to help them through things they feel they cannot any other way. God gives some people meaning and something to hold on to in rough times.

It's a fallacy to think evolutionists cling to science and Christians cling to faith. Hard scientific fact does not disagree with the Bible in any way, scientific theory does, and after a century and a half it's still an unproven theory.

I think that there are a few things that Christians have a problem rectifying with evolution:
1. Many believe the Bible is factual and obviously evolution contradicts Genesis.
2. If we evolved from animals we are... animals. The whole belief in a 'soul' becomes difficult (do other animals have souls? why, why not, etc).
Eventually they will have to adapt their religion, but its going to take time.

I know what you mean because health and society need improvement and neither will just solve all its probs by faith.
Whether God exists or not you still have pain die and no one thinks they owe you anything. GOd may never appear in this world to you or the next that is all any sensible person has to accept.
