Well now, I am pretty broad minded, and, I will admit I think that Smoking sucks in every way, but of course i defend a persons right in almost all circumstances.
But, I have often thought that if i had to depend on a persons judgement for my life I would not care to trust the judgement of a person who willingly draws smoke into their lungs when theey know of its harmful effects. does that make me a bad person?

I was driving home last night and got off the freeway and into the city (SF) and saw a homeless guy in the middle of the street...he was walking up to the cars that were stopped at the light and was asking for change, etc. Anyway, I rolled down my window and gave him an extra gatorade that I had with me. A cop pulls up next to me and gets on his loudspeaker and tells the homeless guy to get out of the street or he'll cite him and then yells at me on the speaker for "encouraging them while he's trying to keep them safe and on the sidewalk". Right. Anyway, I felt like flipping the cop off and wondered what would have happened. If anything...

There were seven books of the bible that Martain Luther King and others claimed were not inspired by God. The books Tobit, Judith, 1 and 2 Maccabees, Wisdom, Sirach and Baruch. Does anyone know the reasons we desided these were not inspired by God?

The Church is known for blatant appeals for money from believers and non-believers alike. The Church is incorporated as a profit-making enterprise, and declares itself to be "the only religion that is proud to pay its taxes." Anyone can become an ordained SubGenius minister by paying a fee of $30 US for a lifetime membership. No other requirement is laid upon prospective members, though the cost of ordainment separates the Church from the Universal Life Church and other paper churches that offer ordination to all comers. The Church of the SubGenius is known for a standing offer that stems from the ordainment fee: "Eternal Salvation or TRIPLE Your Money Back!"

How can we tell which are the fastest growing when theres no means of tracking this? For example, the US Census keeps track of race but not religious status. Worldwide there are no real measures, only poor guesses.

However, every single Muslim you will ever meet, every single one, will tell you Islam is the fastest growing. Try this, ask them exactly where they get that, you will get a real laugh at listening to the poor ignorant Muslim jumbles his little eyes in his head and give you some pathetic reply.

Its amazing when you think about it. Literally almost every single Muslim, 99.9999% believes with absolute certainty Islam is the fastest growing....without the slightest shred of proof, merely the Imam or brother Ali's passionate assertion.

Suppose its true. Why would it even matter with respect to religious validity. Muslims always throw it out there in the context of proof for Islam.

Maybe we should all jump from one fast growing religion to the next.

what does the repetition of something in your life mean? ex: someone keeps seeing the name john everywhere, or someone keeps seeing the number 12 everywhere. sounds strange but twice today i've seen things randomly shaped to form a heart.
