Good morning, I am an agnostic, not trying to change anyones religion, follow up to this question:

Do you, regardless of your religion, or your sexuality of any of that, believe it is your duty as a human being, to fight injustice in whatever form it is?

When you do this, do you look for correllations of the people who you feel are being "unjust". For example, if we noticed that a certain demographic kept doing something, would we take note?

As an example, if we kept noticing people in white sheets kept leaving the scene of a lynching, would we try and find out the root cause to prevent future lynchings, or just arrest everyone we see leaving the scene of a lynching.

If for example, the root cause was hatred, justified by a book, lets say, book of yellow marker, would you feel justified attacking that interpretation of that book of yellow marker?

2) [Abiogenesis] If life derived from non-living substance, what is the source of the non-living substance?

3) [Stellar Hypothesis] If the complexities in the cosmos evolved from the simplicities in the cosmos, what is the source of these simplicities?

4) [Big Bang] If the cosmos derived from some phenomina within the universe, what is the source of the universe?

I do appreciate the abundance of knowledge all these fields of science have granted man. Yet, neither field, (or theory) seems to be able to satisfy the eternal question, What/Who is the source of all?

I'm an Agnostic, but I was raised a Christian. For the first part of my life, I truly believed, untill I came to realize that Christianity was not meeting my speritual needs and began to search widely for something that would. I still haven't found any one religion that would meet my needs, but I have gained better speritual awareness.

I have read the bible. More than once. It seems to me to be full of contradictions, fallacy, and plenty of fodder for spreading hate. I have gone to Christian churches and considered myself, at one time, a Christian. But every time I try to challange Christian dogma or make some sort of point, all I hear is "Read the bible, then you'll understand!" or "You know nothing about Christians!"

Why do people make these assumptions?

Before you lash out, notice that I DIDNT say that ALL of them dress that way.

Do they think that by dressing "sexy" , they'll get a man quicker?

My mother once said to me: "If you dress like trash, you're bound to attract trash"

I use to chill with this guy who was so crazy about weight gain that we eventually stop talking. He always thought people were calling him fat. Whenever he didnt get the guy he wanted, he blamed it on his weight. He dieted and exercised. At one point he became bulimic.I found out that he just had the new stomach surgery where they cut the stomach in half. I always thought he was nicely built. Sure, he was heavier that average, but he was tall. when we first met he was 6'1 239. now he 164 lbs. he's real skinny now and he dont really look that attractive. but people say he's happier. he quit hanging around his old friends because, apparently, they weren't as insecure about their weight as he was. He has this new crew who all are paper thin and one them was just released from a eating disorder clinic in allentown. when did gay men gain the right to become PREJUDICE to certain people?

Hello!

I am researching Mormonism, and I have 6 questions....Looking for members of the LDS church.

I am not trying to attack anyone, I am trying to be as objective as possible, and I have a Book of Mormon which I am reading. However, I am a christian.

It won't let me post all the questions with the references here(too long)...So I posted them online at www.allaboutjoshua.com or http://joshuafkon.googlepages.com/questions

Thank you very much for your help,

God bless,

Josh

P.S. note to Beta_fishy: Book of Mormon came today!

You can skip those 'Sorry, God doesn't exist.' comments and instead give me an answer with some thought behind it.

Why would God want to gather souls to heaven anyway? He's already created angels and cherubim to keep him company for all eternity. So he can't be lonely.

Satan has all the fallen angels to keep him company, so he won't be lonely either.

Are they just playing a game of checkers with us as the pieces?
