All the time...

When I'm given a Scripture (at Church) I'll look it up on my own. I want to see it for myself!

I think we need to all questions things when we don't know, don't understand...or want additional information.

When we question God...sometimes He will answer us (when HE thinks we need to know), sometimes we don't like His answers...so we chalk it up to Him not answering us.

God / Jesus ROCKS!!!

I can't stand authority, I rebelled against my parents right from day 1, came out fo the womb armed and taking offensive action. I can't stand the authority the police have, when they talk down to me handing me a speeding ticket ( I know that's stupid, but I just don't like authority) There are 3 people in my life that I have trusted as figures of authority, and God I have no problems at all with His authority, He doesn't swagger, He's not smug and He isn't rubbing it in all the time.

CCM,

Exactly who's authority are we talking about here? If it is the authority of men, and their governments, then it would be wise to do so. History has shown, that if there is any constant to civilization, it is the tendency for men to abuse their authority. If it is the Authority of God, this is the one situation, where we need to back down, and obey. Please understand, that I am not talking about religion here. Any time you let another human get between you and our Father, you are heading for the Land of Confusion. When we take God, to be our Father, we must trust Him with all our heart. He is the only Being in the Universe, who you can trust all of the time, without question, or suspicion. He loves you, and would never do or say anything that would harm you. If we keep His Commandments, we can be sure that we are following the path of Wisdom, and that peace will be ours.

The authority of people-Yes, because they aren't perfect. I don't question the authority of God, because He is perfect, has my best interest in mind, and has NEVER stirred me wrong.

I used to correct my teachers if that says anything about me. I am not afraid of people who are authority figures, as long as they don't have the power to harm me for speaking out against them.
