Living for the moment is enjoying the work/s or responsibilities you are presently doing. It is not merely merrymaking as you may think about it. Being thankfull for every grace as it comes your way. Accepting and learning from every ups and downs in your life and as long as you don't give up when you fail, that is called balancing for the future.

***How do you balance 'living for the moment' with ' being responsible and thinking of the future' in your life? ***

Good question.
1. Work at something you like doing.
2. Immediately on getting payed, slap 10%
of the money into a Roth account at a
reputable bank.
3.Pay your bills ahead or on time next.
4.With what's left over enjoy yourself.
5.Be vigilant for the thieves around you.

difficult to do that, but you can balance both i guess. you can plan for the future not every minute of each day, and you can be responsible while you are living for the moment. ok not always but it doesn't matter! you are a human being so you are entitled to have fun, to enjoy your day, to make mistakes, to be responsible,to think of the future, etc

You live in the moment to perform at your absolute best. That is part of a tactical level of being. Having a goal and being centered in your life has to do with you strategical level of being. The two compliment each other. So living in the moment help you cut down tree faster, and having the vision to live a centered live get you to cut tree in the right forest.

I hope this helps.

Simple, while you're living in the moment, you think "how will this affect my future" before making any large decisions. Think, "Do I really, REALLY need this?" before buying anything that costs more than $20. Also, save money when you can afford to. You can plan for the future and enjoy the present, too.

"Living in the moment" is not synonymous with completely disregarding the consequences of your actions. You should take it to mean to not constantly worry and not be distracted by everything other than what you are currently doing. Appreciate today but don't forget about the future!! The future is tomorrow's today!

sort out the responsible business of your life, then live for the moment...you wont have to worry about the future then and will enjoy going with the flow more.

I live for now in the knowledge that if I live it right, with due consideration for others, tomorrow will be fine. Yes there may be problems but these should be put in a positive context and looked on as challenges to be overcome. Given I've got to the age I'm at it seems to have worked for me.

Great question. That is a difficult balance, but it can be done. Just plan as much as you can and be responsible in all facets of bringing that plan to fruition, but get yourself comfortable with the idea that plans can and will change, then be open to those potential changes. Good luck to you in your journey that is life!

You can plan spontenaity, OK this weekend is free and I'm setting aside this much money and I don't know what I'll do but it'll be fun. Moderation is of course the balancing factor, too much of a good thing and all that.
Cheers.
