A little wordy, but only because I want the relevant points to be clear. If you have the mental stamina, bear with me...

You and your wife were walking down an alley and suddenly a madman grabbed your wife and threw her in a ditch. The madman then stands above the ditch, and using A DIFFERENT lady as a human shield (one whom the madman would not kill on his own), is preparing to shoot your wife (who he wishes to kill for whatever crazy reason).

You have a gun. You can try to shoot the madman, but may end up also killing the human-sheild-lady in the process.

Choice:
Try to shoot the madman, with the risk of shooting the other lady too
Or
Let the madman shoot your wife.


Which would you choose? Would you fault someone for choosing otherwise?

I mean only to urinate. My husband gets freaked out about this. It's not because when I flush it'll scald him...he just doesn't want anyone in the bathroom with him. And it's not like I'm going to fling open the shower curtain or anything. He's also funny about it with me. When we're going out and I have to get in the shower because we're running late, I tell him to go ahead and come in and finish brushing his teeth, put on his deodorant, whatever while I'm showering, but he won't do this. Anyone else like this, or is my husband just weird?

Once I saw a guy wreck his golf cart while talking on a cell phone. There was no one else around to crash into, and no obstacles, just pure distraction. It was hilarious...I also once saw a very white, very skinny guy with blonde hair and blue eyes role playing an African Warrior on a Bush Gardens Amusement park ride...this also struck me as very funny... Any other good/funnier observations?

I mean, if it comes down to it and the Bible simply could no longer be considered the "Word of God", don't you think the ideals would still continue? Do you really need a book that was written by your God? Why all the pressure to keep this Bible when you could just use it for its lessons and have just as successful a religion?

And to all the Atheists who wanted a basher question, I guess...how would that change the religion (for better or worse)?

I mean, I KNOW that God had to have come first, but I can't make myself believe it totally anymore. I know that something had to start it all, even evolution couldnt have begun without some initial spark, but I can't find the logical way to belief. Is there a concrete way to prove God exists?

to propagate their racist beliefs? What I mean is that in one breath they can say "God bless our meal" and then in the next claim black people are less evolved than white people (portrayed in the racial slurs "yard ape" or "porch monkey"). Also when I say they're "Christian", I mean that's what they call themselves, not necessarily what everyone else would call them.
