Because - they have no proof of it, so they require that you take something that absolutely makes no freakin sense and blindly obey it. Think about it. God is God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. God is himself, his own Son, and his own spirit? Makes no freakin sense to anyone who can think. So, dont think about it - just beleive.
Then, when it comes to evolution, the call it fake and say not to put your faith in it...what they do not realize that by this statement, they are confirming what I thought - that like evolution, their religion is also a fake concept. They just fail to see that....

Because neither the Trinity nor naturalistic evolution can be strictly proved. There's no other option but to take them on faith. This is not to say there's no evidence for either of them- just no conclusive evidence. But Naturalism and Theism are contradictory philosophies which cannot possibly be reconciled, so you have to choose one or the other, based on such evidence as there is, and accept on faith the part you can't prove.

Because it is like black and white. They are two different beliefs on the spectrum. If we have faith in the Bible, then we have faith in Creation (aka Intelligent Design). You can't believe in Creationalism and Evolution at the same time. Evolution goes against our faith.

It is easier to take something on faith when you are not willing to look for answers.
Those who cannot quite take everything on faith have come up with a pseudo science called Intelligent Design. At face value it looks plausible but then anything that hasn't been reviewed by your peers can look good.

All religion is based on faith. Nothing wrong with that.
What I want to know is why conservative Christians who are Flat Earth / No Nothing party members (IE anti-science) think they must come up with fake science & scientists to disprove things that they do not like (ie creationism & fake human foot prints next to dinosaur foot prints to disprove evolution) ? How insecure is that?

They will also say that Creationism doesn't require faith. They will cite pseudo-science to "prove" their fairy tales are the truth.
It's a double standard that most of them don't ever think about. But then again, if they actually spent their time thinking about things... well... they wouldn't be Christians.

"If it made any sense you wouldn't have to accept it on faith, would you?" ~ from Nuns On The Run.
"Religion is the ignorant man's science." ~ Unknown
Faith is a substitute for evidence. Belief is a substitute for knowledge. Neither faith nor belief are sufficient to sustain reason... they are only sufficient to sustain willful ignorance and delusion.

Because taking it on faith precludes intelligent thought on the subject, which would lead one to a logical conclusion. They don't want you to think, they want you to be one of their obedient zombies.
