The life to save is either your own or the child who lives inside of you. One of them must die, which one do you save?

If there was the possibility then I would let the child live because I have had the chance to live life. Let the child live his/her life.

I think you have to explain better to the morons that don't understand that the situation is very possible and not that unusual for say, oncology patients.

Anyway, as a man, I would save the mother, my wife and mother of my daughter. I can't tell what I would do if I were a woman. In either cases, I think it depends a lot on the chances ot survival of each (baby and mother), the chance of other conceptions (not so common after chemo), the age of the mother and the life expectancy afterward, the existence of other children to take care of etc.

With today's medicine, there is no reason that either should have to dye. But if a choice had to be made, I would save the life of the child. This is what is done when you choose to have children, you give up your life as you know it for that child.

As a man I can only guess what I'd do--this is a question that obviously would apply to a woman.

I would give my life for my child. I would do that for my grown kids now, and at any stage from conception on. I would hope I could live on through them.

Since I'm here to write this, obviously I've never had to make that choice.

Logically, it makes almost no sense to sacrifice the mother for the unborn fetus. The fetus isn't a guaranteed life, and the death of its mother is usually fatal to the fetus unless it's late in its term. On the other hand, the mother could likely have another child at a later date if having children was the sole purpose of life. Additionally, the mother is preserved to help care for any existing offspring...something that cannot be easily replaced.

That would depend. If I am already a mother to other children and married I would probably save my own because I wouldn't want to leave behind other kids and a newborn to my husband to take care of and have all of them grow up with no mother.

You can search the whole Universe and not find a single being more worthy of love than your inner Child . Since the inner Child in every person is so precious to themselves , let the self respecting not harm no other being .
