God supposedly created the rainbow after the great flood. Bible scholars said the great flood occurred in the year 1646 B.C. Now, if people existed in North America and elsewhere before the year 1646 (which they did), and they had rainbows, then how could God have created them after the great flood?

when the bible says worship no false Gods/no other Gods but me, is God implying that the other gods & goddesses, i.e. Zeus, Odin, etc. all existed? and that they are simply beneath the "one, true God"? and are the past Gods the 24 elders in revelations?

I'm talking about some sort of native tribe isolated somewhere in africa or south america, who have never fully heard about any of the major religions. They lead good lives and are good kind people, but dont believe in jesus or the christian god because they simply haven't heard of it. Do they go to heaven?

(I don't really believe in religion or god but want to hear some people try to defend/explain this)

I usually don't go to church. My opinion has always been that you should never try to answer questions that have no answers b/c all tht will do is cloud ur mind . My friend and I recently attended a church. It was very strange. They would hit people in the head and say 'slain in the spirit',' speak in tongues, seem to have conflicting radical beliefs, and target teens. We had a good laugh about it after we left but my friend started going back again and again. I am kind of worried b/c the church seems to be brainwashing him for the worse. Strange things keep coming out of his mouth and he keeps trying to 'save' me. Should I just leave him alone, stop being his friend or try to bring him back to rational thinking?

There is a very large legacy of Jew-hating in Christian Europe. From Feudal times in the middle ages through modern times. There is also a history of this bigotry in the United States. Hating Jews is nothing new among Christians. So why the surprise when I suggest that this same bigotry still exists, but by gentlemen's agreement, it remains hidden?

I'm not racist in the least but things like this bug the crap out of me. It's ok for women to have all women's clubs but then they'll go and protest all mens clubs (like at the Master's Golf Tournament) and it's ok for African American's to have an group unto themselves, but if white's do the same thing it's protested against. I just don't understand why it's ok for one group but not another.

So I am relatively fluent in german, although it is not my native tongue. I am translating a document, and need help with this sentence:

"Die Staatsanwaltschaft Traunstein hat unter Beteiligung von 9 Staatsanwälten und 23 Beamten der Kriminalpolizei Traunstein am 20. Juli 2006 die Beschlüsse an insgesamt 20 Objekten in Oberbayern und Schwaben vollzogen."

Specifically, I cannot place the meaning of the word, "Objekten." Now I know it is normally translated as "Objects" but I believe in this case it has something to do with state reps or lawmakers. Are there any germans who can help me out?

Here is what I currently believe the meaning to be:

On July 20th, 2006 the public prosecutor’s office of Traunstein carried out the resolutions of altogether twenty ____ in Bavaria and Swabia involving nine public lawyers and twenty-three officials from the criminal police division in Traunstein.

I have a friend. He is a Dovian. He worship the Christian Holy Spirit but considers Jesus and God The Father as two angels.
Will he go to heaven.
Because Jesus said--God will forgive every sin except blashpheming the Holy Spirit. Actually my friend is revering and worshipping it.

Wow! Very different! Actually I have a lot of questions, but I'll just ask a few. Is it possible that people say "Y'all" even when they are talking to one person?
