There is a very large legacy of Jew-hating in Christian Europe. From Feudal times in the middle ages through modern times. There is also a history of this bigotry in the United States. Hating Jews is nothing new among Christians. So why the surprise when I suggest that this same bigotry still exists, but by gentlemen's agreement, it remains hidden?

First of all a real christian wouldn't say they hate anyone. God says to love everyone even your enemy's we need to pray for them.

I can only answer for myself. I don't hate Jews or any other group of people. What I don't like is generalizations. Yes I'm sure that bigotry does exist among some people, but there are also a lot of people who do not share those views.

If you are a Christian who is devoted to living his/her life as Christ would, then hate should not be a part of their life. However, we are human and sinners. The only person ever born who was without sin is Jesus Christ. It's a sad commentary on Christians (as a whole) that we are capable of hating others for any reason.

An example in my own life ... A woman I knew many years ago was a devout Christian ... except she was a bigot. The only black person she liked was her housekeeper. I knew her son well and I know how he felt about blacks, and it wasn't pretty.

We are all sinners. We all feel hate at some time in our lives. Hopefully we will ask God's forgiveness for this and other sins.

Because Jesus was Jewish......and they are God's chosen people. It just so happens that when Jesus was born, the Jewish people didn't recognize him as the Messiah and for alot of Christians, that is hard to understand. Personally, I am intrigued by the Judaism and all that is happening in Israel, because all of this bigotry and hatred of Jews is predicted in the Bible and just shows that the time of Christ is near. I pray for safety for all Israel and that through this they can come to recognize Jesus as the Messiah.

Don't know..it is pretty evident if you pay attention. Of course there was a large legacy of anti-christian feelings from the Jews when Christians started so I guess it was inevitable

Christians do not hate Jews. Discrimination in Europe against Jews was mostly racial in nature.

*I have nothing against the Jewish people. I recognize that Christianity has its roots in Judaism.

You paint a broad stroke with your narrow brush.

The Jewish people have been universally hated by almost all other people throughout almost all of history. Their cross the bear. To single out Christians (and not all Christians mind you) is really nothing more than to agitate.

Go Away with instigating hate.

"God is love" "love is of God" "love your enemies" etc etc.

"I am God, I change not'.

Christianity is an outgrowth of Judiasm. Passover became Easter, The same festival remembering God's salvation of man. We see Abraham as the father of faith. Guess what? Abraham was a Jew - the first one. We, as christians see Samson, David, Gideon, Ruth, Moses, Joshua, Daniel etc as heros. Guess what? All jews!

Why would christians hate Jews? Hate is anathama to christians.
We are advised to "pray for the peace of Jerusalem". Is God scitzo? wanrting us to pray for the Jews and at the same time hate them? NO!

Love the Jewish people and pray for them.

Could you break "Christians" who hate Jews down in to denominations? I mean 'do Baptist hate Jews, or maybe Presbyterians, or Catholics?
I think this is interesting.
