no it isn't customary nor would it be considered respectful here in Britain to address your mother as 'lady' or 'woman' here in the UK

i am in the UK and have never used that term nor heard it used here so i guess it not only isn't normal but so rare it ranks alongside the dodo

It`s weird is what it is.
Usually here in Britain if we call someone "lady" in conversation we`re usually annoyed with that person.
