I ask this because of the story of noah's ark. God supposedly created the rainbow after the great flood. Bible scholars said the great flood occurred in the year 1646 B.C. Now, if people existed in North America before the year 1646 (which they did), and they had rainbows, then how could God have created them after the great flood?

Most all of the legends are told, and not written.. things were kept kind to their hearts.. and passed down to generations during the winter months, when the earth stood still.. as that was a time of gathering together.. telling stories, that told more than fables.
Each tribe has their own stories. Which tribe are you seeking..

How did the Egyptians and Babylonians survive 'the Flood' if it happened in 1646 BC? They were around before and after that.

A rainbow is the result of pysics, which God created in Genesis. They had rainbows before the Flood. They have been around since God created the universe.
