Basically I'm looking for something along the lines of missionary work. I would like to know which religions are the most likely to share their message with me one day. After all, I live in a land that was founded on the principle of religious freedom, so if any religion wants to spread its message this would be a good place to do it.

Please be specific, too. For example, "Christianity" would be too broad of an answer, considering it is divided into numerous sects and denominations. Thanks!

Christians, I humbly ask you to pray for my friend Lisa. She is going through the hardest part of her life. I'm sorry that I can't give you more details.

1 The ark traveled to the house of Obed-edom in the hill country of Judea (2 Sam. 6:1–11).
2 Mary traveled to the house of Elizabeth and Zechariah in the hill country of Judea (Luke 1:39).

1 Dressed as a priest, David danced and leapt in front of the ark (2 Sam. 6:14).
2 John the Baptist—of priestly lineage—leapt in his mother’s womb at the approach of Mary (Luke 1:41).

1 David asks, "How can the ark of the Lord come to me?" (2 Sam. 6:9).
2 Elizabeth asks, "Why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?" (Luke 1:43).

1 David shouts in the presence of the ark (2 Sam. 6:15).
2 Elizabeth "exclaimed with a loud cry" in the presence of the Mary (Luke 1:42).

1 The ark remained in the house of Obed-edom for three months (2 Sam. 6:11).
2 Mary remained in the house of Elizabeth for three months (Luke 1:56).

I am quite taken by this forum. It is interesting and (if you look in the right place) informative. But I am dissapointed that so many views appear to come from younger USA based persons. There is nothing wrong with this, but it would be nice to have a broader contributor base in terms of age, language, culture, etc. Thanks for answering.

As a pagan, am I not allowed to choose my beliefs? Why are my beliefs not as valid as those of a recognized religion? That gives people the right to tell me that my beliefs aren't good enough?

Ok this is probably going to sound really lame but I'm trying to remember a Jewish word for a type of commune for teenagers or something like that. It came up years ago in an episode of The Nanny and I cannot for the life of me remember it! Do you have any idea what it might be?

Cause straight women don't necessarily find the junk attractive. Not in the same way that straight men like looking at breasts that is.

I answered a question from a teenage girl today that asked us to pray for her " Grampa " who recently found out that he has some type of illness ( sorry, I can't remember the name of the disease ),
and is bad shape right now.
I don't even remember the girls name.
But, I just wanted to ask those of you that will, please remember " grampa " in your prayers.
Thank you, and goodnight !

Larry Kramer said it best, mirroring my feelings about being Gay and the GLBT community overall, in an address to the Gay community on November 7, 2004 in NYC:

"I love being gay. I love gay people. I think we're better than other
people. I really do.
I think we're smarter and more talented and more aware and I do, I do, I totally do. And I think we're more tuned in to what's happening, tuned into the moment, tuned into our emotions, and other people's emotions, and we're better friends. I really do think all these things."

I feel the same as Larry. I know many, many more of us do too.

My brothers and sisters are among the most dynamic, the most resilient, the most innovative and we're certainly among the most brilliant to have ever graced this planet.
Whether all of us have realized it or not, we're also among the most powerful cultures our world has seen.

How do you feel about yourself as a GLBT person?

Best Wishes!

copy and paste tsk tsk tsk

"Azazael-Lantern
It is not possible because there is no God. There is just the human condition of suffering and the ignorance of it. Wanting to please a God so that you may receive a reward or stave of punishment, this is unproductive to mental and spiritual growth. Take responsibility for you own actions, replace faith with wisdom and you will find life to become easier. Wisdom is the understanding of the true nature of things. A lot of people can be intelligent, wisdom comes from experience, experience for them selves. Ignorance's causes suffering, wisdom on how to do things for you self, find the cause of problems as they are, not how you perceive them. This is the true path to enlightenment."

its not true There IS A GOD
