One night I had a dream--
I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord
and across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints,
one belonged to me and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that many times along the path of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest
and saddest times in my life.
This really bothered me and I questioned the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you would walk with me all the way,
but I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life
there is only one set of footprints.
"I don't understand why in times when I needed you most,
you should leave me."
The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child,
I love you and I would never, never leave you
during your times of trial and suffering.
"When you saw only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

I don't hate the christian God, I hate the church. The church tore apart my family and then said it was the will of God. They stood by my father when my mother told them he was hurting her. They tried to tell me my friends were going to hell because they went to a different type of church (still Christian). They taught that God is hate and fear. He is about love and forgiveness. I would have no problem with Christians if they remembered that.
I will admit to being mad at God though. He took my brother when he wasn't even 18. At the prime of his life. He was a good kid and he was ripped away from us. Mean while, my grandparents grew very ill and wasted away in horrible pain for years after. Please note, I'm not saying they should have died, but where is the logic in that? Some one who can work and is a wonderful person is dead, but some one who needs 24 hour care and is praying for release is forced to live on.
Also, I have gotten very sick of the people who say, "It isn't my fault, the Devil made me do it." Wrong, you did it, you're just a jerk. Well, I tend to say something more harsh, but I'm being nice here. And yes, it is something I have heard a lot.

At first I have to tell "the enlighte" that Muslims do not hate Christians or Jews. They just hate Zionism, which I think every sane person will.
About the Lord, I love him, whatever he does in my life. Although I have had very hard days, but it never made me to be far of him. I consider the problems as a way to purify our souls.
Maybe this book can help those who want to find the logic behind the bad events in our lives. So interesting it is :
"Embraced By The Light"
The account of Betty J. Eadie's near-death experience.

I personally don't hate the "Lord" I just don't believe. There is a difference. I think the story of Jesus is just that. A story. I think if there was a lord why are tragic things happening all over the wold all of the time why are so little people being blessed with his presence. I don't hate you for being religious but I do think people should be able to believe in what they want to believe in.

I know what you said about ONLY people who HATE God but i don't care. I don't hate him but i do doubt him at times. I know you will probably have a answer for it as Christians tend to have an answer for EVERYTHING "god" does. But why is god letting babies die? What is the point of having a women carry a baby so long just to take it away and make someone feel like crap. Why does he let the good people get murdered in unthinkable ways and let the bad people go on living? Why isn't he protecting the people that need the mos shelter?

HEY ! your not thinking . These people dont have the Lord in thier life . Imagine how empty your life would be . Or the kind of wrong thinking and mental disorders that these people have . DO YOU REALLY expect them to see the light ? They have to suffer until they finally come to a point where they surrender or die . Thats the way it is . Some of these people will NEVER be saved and your just going to have to except it . Go pray about it . Thats all you can do .

I don't believe he exists. No one could be all loving and all powerful and let the innocent ones suffer for years on end (in cases when the cause is no fault of theirs or any other human's) and then die just as horribly (when he supposedly suffered for only 3 hours). If he does nothing to alleviate the suffering and pain and is all loving, then he is not all powerful. If he is all powerful and does nothing, he is not all loving. If he caused it, he's a monster.
For many people he has done absolutely nothing. If you believe he has helped you, that's good for you. As for me, I'd wish on a candle first before I believed the fairy tales told to me as a child about this lord of which you now speak.

Hate is an fairly good be conscious, and definite its incorrect to hate a guy or woman. you would be able to dislike (heavily) someone's strategies or strikes to the element the place you advance into fairly upset over it - yet shouldn't "hate" in any variety or vogue. in case you dislike something to the element you experience hatred in the direction of somebody you need to exchange your emotions - and look at your man or woman inward self. even however human beings can upset you very plenty, its continually terrific to stroll away until you experience extra clever (time heals all wounds) and then the two sever ties with that guy or woman or wait until a cooling off era then attempt to reconcile the version with the guy you're having a conflict with. basically the way i glance at it... and that i've got dealt with lots of individuals from many cultures - and that i'm no longer that previous the two... good luck and need i've got helped in answering your question....

Chicky.....I dont hate him but I have to answer this....why provoke...why do you want to hear what you dont want to hear....when people are ready God will make himself apparent to them. By asking such questions you only build up that feeling of needing to save the world in you...and sometimes...that can push people further away.
I used to work in a bar...(I'm Christian BTW) and even I used to call this one guy "Bible Thumpin' Bill" when I reffered to him. Christians DO NOT need to do that. Not in North America anyway, where people are quite aware of their choices. If you feel the need to help spread the word then please go on a missionary trip to a forgotten land.
The people you are asking are quite aware of their choices, and choose to not belive. God bless them, and I know that when they are finally ready to "come home" our father will be standing there with open arms....but in the mean time...by asking questions like you just did...you cant make a non-beliver question their thoughts, and only help to drive them further away.
There are better ways than to provoke. Faith and deeds will be noticed by belivers and non-belivers alike, and if unknowingly you even help to sway one person towards salvation, your job here has been done.
Bless you for trying...
"Just my opinion"
Let them find the lord on their own.....it will be done in time.

The Lord has never done me any wrong. Neither has the Lady. Nor the Goddess, nor Christ, nor Mohammed, nor the Buddha, nor Krishna, nor my ancestors, nor the Great Spirit. I don't hate God--in fact, the only thing that stopped me from attempting suicide twice was my faith in God. But I will never impose my faith on others, I will never proselytize, I will never threaten others' emotional and psychological well-being by telling them they'll go to Hell (or some such other monstrous place) if they don't believe in God the way I do.
Do not make the mistake of assuming that a disapproval of organized religion in general, or Christian churches in specific, is in ANY way indicative of a disapproval of the Divine. I love God, and I love being a child of God. Whatever God is, I believe in him/her/it. And I also believe just as powerfully that I have NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER to try to threaten or force anybody else to believe as I do, or to patronize them by believing that my ideas and beliefs are right whereas theirs are wrong.
I don't blame God for dead babies and bad things that happen to good people. I don't know why good people die young, and some babies are stillborn, or die in infancy. I don't know why evil people are released from prison on technicalities, only to wreak further havoc and destruction. But I do not blame God for these things. I believe in Karma, and I believe in reincarnation. I believe every death and every life has a purpose, whether we understand it or not. My father died when I was 18, at a time when I needed him the most. I stopped praying then, except to say "Thy will be done." Now I have a better understanding, achieved over time, that my father died at least in part for me--to get out of my way so that I could develop into the woman I am now, without the curse of being forever a "Daddy's girl." I consider it a gift to be able to see the good in every seeming act of evil, and if I can't see it, I blame myself for not looking hard enough. I don't blame God.
I don't blame God for not appearing the way people expect him/her/it to appear when things are bad. People have their own ideas of what the Divine "should" look like, how she/he/it should act, ect. But that's bullshit. God is here, now, everywhere. If you don't see him/her/it, it's because (in my opinion) you either aren't in a place where you want to see, or because you aren't looking hard enough.
There is also the belief that God is both Creator and Destroyer. I think there's truth to that as well. The act of destruction is necessary in order to create. There cannot be one without the other. Evil happens, and good comes of it. Everything turns to the good, whether we want to see/believe it or not.
Just FYI, I'm not a Christian of any denomination. I was raised and educated Irish Roman Catholic, and I'm now a witch. A powerful witch with Christ at her back and Michael the Archangel at her right hand. The juxtaposition of these two seeming opposites (i.e., the figure of Christ and the practice of witchcraft) bring energy and positivity and growth and challenge to my faith, and I'm blessed and lucky and changed forever because of it.
I love God very much. I don't hate anybody. I just don't understand the small-minded limitations some people willingly place upon themselves in their search for the Divine.

Gave me chitonous skin, programmed me to rebel, put me in a fiery place for eternity ,made me the scapegoat for all the instinctual things that humanity never wants to face up to within himself (like the entirety of his biological heritage) ...
Yet honestly- I don't hold it against him ... in fact I talk to the Old man Good humoredly almost each and every day ..
Now you humans .. perhaps maybe I could get a dram of mercy .. I'm kinda parched down here .. could you give me a cup of water ..
Yeah "demonica" has light alright .. teaching her child niece that women are mere cosmetic objects .. and yanking the poor little girls unibrow out .. that's light for sure ...
