This Old Testament God, assuming he is the same one who resides in heaven, likes lots of animals to be killed and burned for him ,--until supposedly a human sacrifice finally appeased this God.
So, what do you think the Christian God thinks about animals rights and vegetarianism?

Let's go back to John and Jane Christian again (If you didn't read my previous question, it is here:http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ag0MbDXhyaOJTMTSRUSHFzPsy6IX?qid=20060730151014AAKWtYs . Here they are, still quite happy, now with a couple of beautiful little bundles of God's joy running about. As it turns out, Jane, the breadwinner, makes most of the decisions in the family. She deligates responsability, decides what to do with the money, and is, in every sence of the word, the head of the household. John is completly happy with this, and submits to her in every way. Is this considered wrong, at all, in the eyes of God, the church, or the bible?

Same rules apply.

This God, supposing he is the same one seems to enjoy people chasing down baby lambs, calves, etc., slitting their throats and spattering the blood around, then setting them ablaze.
He decided that wasn't good enough so he sent his son/himself? down for a final 'human' sacrifice to appease this God ...
should I find this as disgusting and disturbing as I do and why am I so worried that this God sounds nice to so many people?

Funny, off hand, Muslims are the only people I can think of that whine about this.

Are there any scholars here? If so, please tell us how we can be very careful not to "humiliate" an insecure hatefilled intolerant islamic monkey?

Any suggestions?

Why spend your life worshipping god so when you die you'll be ok? Why not try to enjoy life instead of thinking about heaven, which you don't know even exists. I realise some people on here may think i'm going to hell but i'm ok with that, because it's not real. They just tell you that to scare you

I've been hearing a lot about a woman's "role" according to Christians. It got me to thinking...

Let's say John and Jane Christian get married (without ever having sex beforehand or living together or even touching beyond a chaste kiss). They are happy and blissfull, united in God's love. But let's say that John has a flare for cooking, childcare, and housework, and Jane has a brilliant mind for buisness. Would it be considered wrong, in the eyes of God, the bible, or the church, for Jane to be the breadwinner and John the housekeeper? Even if both are truly happy this way and otherwise live their lives as perfect and Godly as any other Christian couple?

What are the reasons for this? And I don't want any "I just think it's wrong." Give me reasons, people. And please, refrain from letting me know weather or not you yourself would live a life like this, but instead tell me if you think it's ok for someone else to do it.

I would like to view the information if possible. At the end of the movie it said that these documents were in fact found and that the catholic church denounced their validity, something about heresy. Any information you have would be greatly appreciated!
