This Old Testament God, assuming he is the same one who resides in heaven, likes lots of animals to be killed and burned for him ,--until supposedly a human sacrifice finally appeased this God.
So, what do you think the Christian God thinks about animals rights and vegetarianism?

No. look at Daniel's and his friends diet. All things are under our care. We have been given dominion over all things. So the care of all animals and this planet is our responsibility. Some go to great
extremes to force others to fall in line with their choices in life.

To answer thou shalt not kill is the wrong translation. It is thou shalt not murder. There is a great difference

Man's original mandate is to rule over the animals. However, this does not give people the freedom to exploit creation. We are supposed to be caretakers of the world. Our rulership ought to have extended the borders of eden. As it is, we are selfish and take whatever we want from the earth without concern.

The Bible does not promote vegetarianism or meat eating as a more spiritual path. It is up to your conscience, according to Paul, but don't try to force your view on others, he says.

I think the Christian god is supposed to be loving, and the bible does say though shall not kill; so I would assume animal rights and vegetarianism go hand in hand with that.

New Testament says nothing about being a vegetarian. There are no rules as far as this is concerned.

Animal rights borders on idolatry for some PETA members, but there's nothing wrong with trying to make living conditions better for animals.

You can be a vegetarian and a Christian at the same time. There is nothing in the Christian religion that says you can't be a vegetarian. But You don't have to be one either. Vegetarians sometimes get all religious about being vegetarian and imply that you are pond scum if you eat meat.

God said, you can eat of any animal in the field, so it's ok.

He originally said no pigs, but later said, if you think it's unclean then for you it's unclean, but if you think it's clean, then for you it's clean.

I don't think it's good to eat pig too much, but a little ham and bacon once in a while should be ok. They do say that pigs have a different kind of digestive system so it makes them an unhealthy animal, even if they only eat good food.

Also the God of the old testimate is the God in heaven, who we now know as Jesus, he gave all authority to Jesus, so he doesn't accept animal sacrifices anymore, you accept Jesus as your sacrifice, or you go to hell.

You seem a tad bit sarcastic. The Old Testament God is the only God.
Genesis 9:3, Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything. This means he now approves for man to eat meat.
I doubt you'll believe me, or the Bible.

No. In the book of Genesis god states that animals are for people to rule over and consume.

No, eating a plant that is alive wouldn't classify as a person who doesn't want to sacrifice life.
