Have you all read greek myth? You seem to have forgotten the part that Hercules was made into a god and that his wife was the goddess of youth. After stating that, Hercules of course. All Apollo was ever good at was archery and hercules can seriously kick his gluteus maximus. Haha!

You're getting your facts mixed-up. It was not a hydra's poision but a centaur's blood by the name of Nessus.

Apollo was a pretty warlike god, though not the god of war. That was Ares (Didn't you ever see Hercules, the Legendary Journeys?) .
But yes, Apollo would win. God of the Sun, with a mean bow. Hercules was strong, yes. But he fell to a Hydra's poison, and then burned alive, I think. Since Apollo's arrows burn, I assume they'd kill him, easily.

In mythology, Zeus parted them with a thunderbolt when they struggled at Delphi, so we'll never know who would've won if they finished the fight. Apollo was the god of prophecy, not war, as someone said. Ares was the god of war and was bigger and stronger than Apollo, but Ares was beaten by Diomed, one of the 3 top Greeks at Troy. Helios was the god of the Sun. Errors abound among the answers. Apollo was portrayed as a slender and shapely youth. Heracles was quite massive and all muscle. I think I'd vote for him, even if he was a demigod. In Greek myths, such demigods often beat gods.

Either way, they would've gotten it on afterwards. Apollo was a bi Deity, and Hercules was always wantin some.
And to the remark about Hercules married to Iris, Goddess of the Rainbow...it wasn't her, it was Hebe, Goddess of Youth.
