herself as a second job. Prostitution in New Zealand is a legal profession. This woman was found out by her colleagues and forced to quit being a prostitute. Do you think this was wrong, as prostitution is legal there.

The issue was not so much as that she was working a second job, rather she didnt clear it with her bosses, (who would have probably said no anyway), secondary employment must be okayed before they can do any secondary job.

it was considered that prostitution was not the ideal secondary job, regardless of the legality of it.

NZ Police were embarrased by the situation, but the minister of police did not consider it approprite to get involved, rather it be an internal employment issue.

She was still able to hold her job, but had to undergo councelling

Unless there was a specific policy in the department prohibiting what you claim is an otherwise legal activity, I do not think she should have been forced out. In fact, I would support her right to sue for wrongful treatment. She would win big money in this country under similar circumstances.

I would have to say yes. On her second job she was being paid to do that job, not prostitution. It would be the same as coming to your second job and using the time you were being paid to do it to sell Avon or Tupperware. It isn't what you are there to do.

A este colmo hemos llegado. Quien quiera prostituirse, que lo haga, pero que sea habitual en una oficinista, es una calamidad más del sistema.

prostitution is never lawful. read the bible!!! she should have been fired as an officer, not just a prostitute. there is no justification for that. ever. no matter what the law says in new zealand.
