I use to go into yahoo chat rooms (I stopped because of all the viruses and bots getting on my computer) and now I go into Yahoo Answers Rel. & Spirit. section and there is so much bitterness about
Christians, and so many Christians themselves saying things like "you'll burn in hell and you must believe this or that". So many rules and regulations. I come from a loving and caring church where I wasn't exposed to all of this. So, my question is this- does anyone agree with me when I say all Christ wants from us is to Love God and to Love our Neighbor?

continue to come to the religion section of yahoo answers, but we wont' do anything substantive? We hide online and talk big, but we never take our message to the streets. Is it because we are all 40+, overweight losers who live in our grannys basement and live online?

my neighbor has this giant weed pile that has weeds becoming trees and are starting to grow into my fence that i just put up, the pile is behind his garage and he never sees it, and just keep piling rocks and now garbage on it, i even think a scunk had babies under there, i call the city and its been over a week and he still has not even made an attempt to clean it up, i even offered to help him dig up all the weeds but he refused, what can i do if i found out the city just doesn't care?

My husband will soon be promoted within his company, and we could be asked to go virtually anywhere in the continental US. We have been comparing statistics like cost of living, etc, out of several websites, but those number do not tell the whole story.
If you could answer by personal experience, even better.

I know you all are reading/ hearing about whats going on in the middle east. I know you all are somewhat if not at all know what THE TRUE WORD OF GOD says. I know this because JESUS said so. If personal salvation is the true purpose of religion, why judge people on what path they wish to take to get there? And by what means, if someone wishes to partake in another religion, does that give others the right to disrespect someone else's choice? What ever happened to that phrase in the Bill of Rights, 1st Amendment to the Constitution, "Freedom of speach, freedom of press, freedom of RELIGION." If thats what the authors put into the Consitution of the United States, then why are so many religious groups within the US fighting over who is right, and whose path to salvation is correct... Personal thought here, They are all right, depending on the individual.

The bible has soooo many hypocritical statements with itself and with religions that use it. Why do so many people (for example, on this site) live their life like is a blueprint. "Whatever it says is right, must be right, and vise versa." And then so many people quote the thing as if it's something that came right out of God's mouth.

The Hamitic Myth is derived from the Biblical story of Noah. Taken alone as presented in Genesis 9:21-27, the characters are without a racial or geographical identity. It is the later interpretation of this race/religion/nation-neutral parable which assigned the curse specifically to the Black race such that by 1460 the institution of slavery would be universally believed to be the lot of the Africans.

Many other instances can be found of acceptance of the Myth as God's will and wisdom by Blacks and their slavery-fashioned clerics.
