Their are many different things on the market to help you quit. I quit, but honestly I don't think I could of if I had not of gotten pregnant. You need to keep trying to you find something that works for you. There are several support groups to. Their commercials are all over the TV. And talk to your doctor, their are some prescription meds that may be able to help you. Good luck!!

Ditch as many of the reminders and triggers as possible. (Ashtrays, lighters, caffeine) Try to avoid other smokers for a while. Drink lots of water to rid yourself of toxins. Use a product called Smoke Away. It has herbal supplement that helps get rid of the addictive toxins fast and little mint flavored pills that you dissolve under your tongue when you have a craving.
Another possibility if you can't go cold turkey.... When you have a craving, tell yourself you will wait 15 minutes and see if you still crave a cig. Then next time you crave one, try to wait 15 minutes again. If you can't wait, light up, but try the same process next time. I frequently would forget about the 15 minutes and not crave one for an hour or more. Eventually, I was only smoking 4-5 cigs a day and then I ditched them altogether.
Don't beat yourself up. Quitting is hard, but you can do it!!

Cold turkey. I smoked for about 12 years and this is how I did it. I've been "clean" now for 2 years.

cold turkey....it sucks but its the only way that worked for me.
when you feel like having a smoke, roll up a slice of cold turkey meat and pretend to smoke it...everytime you get a craving, chow down on cold turkey!!!
you may get a bit fat, but you'll never smoke again.

perseverance and the willingness to stop smoking. you cannot force yourself to stop if you really don't want to. it's the courage to make the change...
but when you start quitting smoking, start eating fruits.

Ask your doc. My husband got a pill that helped with the withdraw symptoms and had mood enhancers. I wish I could remember what the stuff was, but it worked.
