Oh Smart One (Te-He-He) The Caribbean Islands are TINY in comparison to the U.S. whom grows corn already. Don't you appreciate your country protecting your energy supply for T.V., microwave and your frying pan? Mid East sells a product that we buy in bulk AND THEY SHOULD BE GREATFUL for it! The war is about the devil. The lies of the devil and the devil causing that region to raise thier kids for generations and generations to hate. PERIOD! You are obviously scared of the reality of the world because you are avoiding the TRUTH or are very unenlightened. The men that trained in Venice Florida to pilot a plane to kill thousands of INNOCENT civilians and to kill themselves in 9/11 did it for thier God. They serve a satanic master and do not even know it! Their governments keep THEIR PEOPLE POOR as hell (No Welfare) and fill thier heads with political propoganda to fuel them with piss and vinegar.- Blindfolding thier eyes from the real issue. Thier own governments are robbing them blind but they do not know any better. They raise hate machines so they keep the oil money profits while thier people starve. They will never wake -up because they are in a satanic trance of murder and hate. Can you better respect your Country and get your head out of your ***? You probebly have not traveled in many foriegn countries. You have it made in the USA-stop complaining and blame the real enemy.- Uneducated, violent people whom do the devil's work. Come into the light. The truth is in the light...Peace be with you.

As if the US under Bush were France under Napoleon--of course not.
Note the Montana State University summary of ethenol production efforts in the US, most of it is not from cane sugar (besides, we also do a lot of beet sugar in the US, as if it would matter). Then note that the California plan allows for cane sugar--grown in California. Look at the Oregon link, cane sugar is not listed.
Corn is the fermentation product of choice in the US today. For cane sugar, I guess you'll need to see if Brazil has developed designs on empire and world domination.

No, definitely not. The U.S. is the largest corn producer in the world. In fact, since so much corn is produced in the U.S., in order to keep corn prices up, thousands of tons of U.S. corn are dumped into the ocean every year. The U.S. definitely does not have any need for corn from elsewhere. The U.S. certainly doesn't need to attack anywhere in order to steal corn.

I for one would certainly hope not. We are already spreading our troops way too thin in the middle east as it is. If we sent more troops just to occupy the Caribean Islands, then who'se going to protect us here in our country?
