Why to do not use Latin alphabet instead of inventing something absolutely new? I would be happy personally, because I could compare words with others Indo-European languages then. I do not know to read Arabic characters.
I imagine, how many Western people would be surprised after understanding that Iran is mainly Muslim Indo-European nation. Not many understand that in my country.

Yes, friend I agree, even though my native language is English, not Farsi. When Kemal Ataturk introduced Roman script in Turkey it made life a whole lot easier. I've struggled with the Arabic language, and almost everybody finds their alphabet difficult, not just English speakers. No written vowels, sounds that are only found in Semitic languages... I spent 18 months in the Arabian Gulf and there were at least 7 letters in their alphabet that I never learned to distinguish or pronounce correctly.

Yes and No.

Because I like how Farsi is written with Arabic script.
And as one of the people here mentioned previously, Farsi does have various loan words from Arabic (even though it's not Semitic) because of the religion (from the Holy Qur'an)
NOTE: Not all Iranians/Afghans/Tajikis are Muslims.

However, I also think that... since Farsi is an Indo-European language, it should be written in Latin alphabet... just my thought... lol

There would be many benefits in terms of internationalization if Persian were to change its script from Arabic script to Latin script. However, your question seems to imply that the main reason would be because Persian is not Arabic. That seems like a pretty strange reason to change a script as there are many languages in the world which use scripts that did not come from their language. So if every language changed their script for that reason, every language would have its own script, and it would be very difficult to learn foreign languages.

Do that and you will be accepted by the West just like the Turks!

The Lebanese adopted the Western languages, lifestyle and culture, they did what they were told by US and Co and see the great reward they're getting.

Yeah, that would be a great way of gaining Uncle Sam's love. Go ahead and do it fast before it's too late

You used to HAVE a non-Arabic writing system--Old Persian. Of course, it was cuneiform and therefore highly impractical for today's writing tools, but there it is, carved in monumental form on the Behistun Rock for all generations to behold.

The Salat must be performed in Arabic, because that is the language of the Qur'an. You can supplicate (make Dua) after the Salah in whichever language you please, but you must recite the Qur'an in Arabic during the Salats.
