I think it is a good thing that you talked to your neighbor about the problem. Many people wouldn't have done such a thing!

Keep calling your city council and complaining. You know the old maxim: "the squeaky wheel gets the grease". Call every day if you have to do so! Call your area's alderman, call whoever is in charge of animal control, call your local police non-emergency number, call the Health Department! Complain complain complain!

The skunk is definately a problem. They can carry diseases as well as bad smell. If he continues with the garbage problem, he could start accumulating something worse: RATS. Once they move in, they are almost impossible to move out!

If any of the garbage/weeds infringes on your property, you have the right to remove whatever is on your property. Hopefully your fence is completely within your boundry line, that will help.

Your local Departments of Health and Sanitation may be able to help out. So too the Neighborhood Association, if you have one. If you live within "city limits", the city MUST act on health code vilolations.

Good luck.

RoundUp works wonders on weeds, Just spray through the fence onto his pile. Buy some siding to attack to the fense that hides his garbage, then plants some bushes and flowers infront of his pile so you don't have to look at it.

Try calling the City Hall...some towns have by-laws about weeds, overhanging trees and yard maintenance. They might come and inspect his weed pile and make him clean it up without you having to get involved with him personally.

When you see him out in the yard,go change into a sexy bikini,or some "Daisy Dukes",strut out in the yard and say to him "hey baby,let me help you clean up those weeds"

I GUARANTEE that will do it(-;

What kind of trees? If they are invasive - supply that info to the city, and it may help your complaint pack more punch.

Call, or write the Mayor. If you write, mark the letter Private and Cofidential, to make sure he gets it personally.
