I have just always wondered that. People gets so upset and mad at just hearing the word God and the name Jesus. I always think that Jesus must be knocking at their door and they are pushing Him away.

4 clues to 4 different people.
1. I made a comedy record. "What It Was ,Was Football." I met my good buddy, who would later be my "deputy" in "No Time For Sergeants." I like to sing and play guitar.
2. I am quite tall. I was "The Thing." I kept the peace in town. I only got romantic on one show, and it wasn't with my "girlfriend." But that's ok...I had amnesia. Sunshine wishes to GOD that she could have been the lady who I had those scenes with!
3. My name is that of an animal. I have an older brother. People "leave" things to me.
4. I am a hunk. I have been in MANY movies. The movie that Sunshine thought I was excellent in was,"Dragonfly." But I like playing baseball characters.
5. I had a tv show named after me. I was in a newsroom. I threw my hat up in the air at the beginning of each show.
6. I was #5's girlfriend. I lived in the same boarding house that she did. I finally moved back to New York and got a show named after me.

It’s a statistical fact that the higher your education, income, and intelligence, the more likely you are not to believe in a god. For every college student that converts to a religious belief system, 17 college students convert to atheist beliefs.

Atheists have an average intelligence of 25 IQ points above their Christian counterparts. Ever wondered why the USA (75% Christian) is so arrogant, aggressive or violent towards others in this world?

You know, the ones that don't make a lick of sense but just go on and on accusing different people and using bizarre logic. Why is it that every one of these is posted by a god-believer and is usually directed against non-believers and/or different flavours of god-believer?

Are they just speaking in tongues?

(Note if you're accessing this question form Y!A's main screen: it's in reference to the Religion and Siprituality section only. For all I know there are meaningless ramblings in the Pets section and the Laundry and Gardening section too. I just never go there so I wouldn't know...)

since I don't spank my son is that a sin? He is very well behaved, and when he occasionally is naughty, grounding is good enough to make him understand his behavior was unacceptable. I just don't want to spank him. How about adults being spanked for pleasure, is that something god would approve of?

I think that Northern and Southern cultures are generally fundamentally different and incompatible. Wouldn't all Americans be better served, then, by a secession of one 'side'?
Granted, it wouldn't be an exact divide, so if a Bible-Thumping zealot from Vermont would be happier in the New Southern Nation, he'd have the option to move there.
Look, North and South generally don't like one another, and have different collective views on religion, role of government, America's place in the world, placement of junk cars in front yards, etc., so why not make a break?
The Midwest, aside from oases like Chicago or the Twin Cities, is essentially a colder, treeless extension of the South, so it would of course be part of the southern nation. The coastal NW would go to the North, while its would be a semi-autonomous region answerable, ultimately, to Atlanta.
So-Cal can join up with the north, as they are culturally far more compatible with Boston than Biloxi, despite their southern locale.

Okay, here is how it would happen (the story)
You were going to have a big inground pool. You decided to dig today because the pool was getting put in next week. You had dug a hole 6 feet and was in it and suddenly you saw something shining. You thought it was only some mikka. So you continued to dig the hole. Then your very cute but expensive cockapoo came and took it out and carried it in his mouth and put it in a hole he hides all his treasures in. Your cockapoo is normally very proper and leaves stuff alone so you went to investigate. You looked in the hole and saw the rarest most beautiful crystal in there. Now you finish the story from here.

This phrase is uttered with no inflection which sounds like it's not really meant. It makes me think of Bon Jovi's song.
What ever happened to "thank you"? Aren't businesses grateful for our business anymore?

Atheists are always bragging about how they can do it alone and religion is just a crutch. If they don't need to feel that they are just a bunch of molecules that are no more important than a worm, then why do they still need relationships, accomplishments, and modern conveniences, instead of just going off to live in the woods like a monk. And if they don't care that they're just going to be forgotten after they die, why would they need memorials and to have buildings named after them, as if they're actually going to know about it after they're gone. Doesn't Darwinism and evolution say that we're just survival machines, and that things like love or meaning are just a product of fear of the unknown and meaninglessness of life. It's not that atheists don't need any meaning in their lives, they just don't want a god that makes them feel guilty about pleasures like having sex before marriage or watching pornography.

If people impose Jesus on Lifes by simply talking about the Lord. Don't Athias people impose on believing in nothing like a practice?
And Wouldnt that make them a religion?

(by the way I love the Lord, and we will all see what happens the day we die)
