I have just always wondered that. People gets so upset and mad at just hearing the word God and the name Jesus. I always think that Jesus must be knocking at their door and they are pushing Him away.

Because it burns there soul to hear the truth.
I can hear one of them spout there idiocy for hours its boring, but it does me no harm, but have any symbol or just drop a word of the Lord and they go off, why it burns them inside.

Well, I'm an atheist and used to be fairly open-minded. However, we see christians trying to usurp the teaching in public schools so their religious beliefs of creation can replace science.

We see christians striving to eliminate the separation of church and state, saying that the US is a christian nation. As evidence, they point to:

The Pledge of Allegiance
Which was altered during the McCarthy era to include "Under God" (it never said that before then).

In God We Trust
Which was also was not included in the original minted currency in the United States.

Ignoring the Treaty of Tripoli which stated that the United States is not a christian nation.

We see christian groups doing book burnings (I've known public library books that were burned), we see christian groups calling for boycotting sponsors of television shows (when they simply could just turn the channel). We see them trying to invade our homes and rights.

So, why do I get upset when I hear God and Jesus as an atheist? Because rather than supporting freedom and liberty... many christian groups strive to take those things away from people in the name of god and Jesus.

I don't get mad when deities or Jesus of Nazareth is brought up even though I don't believe in deities or divinity in a human being. People can talk about christianity all around me and I wouldn't care in the least - my husband, parents & brother are all christians. Words are just that.. words.. there is nothing to get upset over.

They don't get mad...but the spirit of Satan which has taken over their minds and body get mad.
Satan hates Jesus.

Each person has a choice of who to invite into their home and heart, either Jesus or Satan.

Many invite Satan without even knowing that they have by allowing Satan-inspired movies, books, and music to absorb and influence their lives.

While they have breath and have not blasphemed against the Holy Ghost, there is still hope for them to change...

There are Christians out there that give the rest of you a bad name by acting rude, superior and pushing their beliefs on those who already have beliefs they are happy with.
Jesus is, literally, getting a bad name in these "Christian"'s quest to convert others.

When was the last time to said god or jesus and someone actually yelled at you? Come on now, be honest. Ever? I'd be surprised. I don't get angry, just bored, and a little frustrated maybe.

It is the second part about "Jesus knocking at therir door". How do you know that it is Jesus...it could be Mohamed or Krishna or Buddha or a Jehovah's Witness (oh my, there is one at my door). Keep your faith to yourself and worry about yourself instead of others. :)

This is so true, if God did not exist, then why fight against Him? They fight because there are principalities and powers of the air afoot and our fight is not with the flesh, but with them :)

Cause there is strength in the name of the Lord. Some know this and most deny it.

I must admit I am one of these people. When I was in the third grade they stole $1.39 from my lunch box. I've never forgiven them for it.
