I question it every day, like a good person does. If you can't question your beliefs objectively, what good are they? As for becoming an atheist, I used logic, and went from there. The question that I first posed to myself, at the tender age of 9, was "If God always existed, then how come the Greeks didn't follow Him, but followed Zeus and all them?"

Yes, this means that, at age 9, I was smarter and more logical then theists in their 20's, 30's, 40's, etc.

I was in the Rocky Mountains (almost 30 years ago) and I had been studying the world religions and astrology.. When it seemed as though I could see a thought drift across the very blue sky, and hit me in the forehead, and it said "in your study of astrology, you've been learning of all the different forces at work in the universe, what about the force that created the universe, and what if that force has consciousness?"
...and like a light bulb going on, I thought "God!" And felt... joy.. and beauty..
...few days later reading a bible tract titled, God's great overcoming of the grave (commonly mistranslated "hell") and couldn't understand it, til a perfect eight rayed star formed on the off screen of the televison, from the sun going down over the mountains in the distance, and shining through an inch of open curtains.. an eight rayed star had been my meditation symbol, and now I know it's the star of David.. or the star over the birth of Christ (who came to check our journey away from Life/God.)
...Anyway it's been an ongoing relationship and conversation (with the Father and Son) ever since {I ask questions, later, often the same day, reading the bible, the question 'just happens' to be answered, is just one means of the conversation... and ever increasing peace and joy..
...I had and have a deep disere for truth.. and nothing less, so have studied the bible and history extensively, usually, on my own :) sorry folks. And always keep abreast of the 'scientific' theories, and how they stand up to the natural laws, which is, they just don't. Most folks don't even know what one of the most held laws of science, the Law of Entrophy, is.. Let alone the nature of big bangs, or explosions.. or just what natural selection is.. as opposed to evolution theory..

I went through a time when I became very skeptical of Christ and his existance....I thought... what if it's all in my head and I am being fooled by everyone or brainwashed....that period in my life was very scary because I felt alone and in darkness for the first time in years since I had found Christ...on day though my struggling heart I asked myself...if someone were to offer me control of the whole world and everything in it for me to say in front of eveyone on the planet that I don't believe in Christ I knew I would not be able to do it and that was a good answer for me to believe that He is real...why else would it feel so wrong if it was not God Himself telling me that it is.... I realized I had been falling into Satan's trap...he will do anything to try to confuse you and bring you away from God and His light....It took some time...a few months...but I finall y snapped out of it and came back into the arms of Christ....I will never question Him again.

I'm a scientist. The essence of doing science is that you ALWAYS question what you believe. You start with a theory, investigate the conditions under which it might not or does not work, and refine it so that it works better. And you argue, in a friendly manner, with anyone who has different beliefs. If you win an argument, it may be an ego trip, but if you lose one, you can learn something.

How did I come to believe what I believe? By questioning the belief system I was brought up with (Catholicism). Now I'm a gnostic/pagan. Questions lead to knowledge & spiritual growth.

If somebody has never questioned what they believe at least a little bit then how do they know that's what they actually believe? If your ideas don't stand up to some cross examination then they aren't what you believe, they are what you WANT to believe.

I often question what I believe. It's quite a long story of how I came to believe as I do. I don't think I could remember it all.

I did but not any more.I researched religion and found that Christianity(Bible based)was correct.Ones believe of a certain religion depends on where you were born and the first religion you were exposed to.It is like your language or mother tongue. You grow up with it.People that reject religion or are atheists did not research properly or are so highly educated that they think they are above religion. The brains God gave them leads to their downfall.

I have no need to question my Salvation... That is a direct promise from God and he do'nt break His promises... But I do indeed questoion doctrin and practices of my faith all the time... if it is not in God's word then it should not be in the doctrin or practice of any of mans "churches"

It is for each individual to study God's word to assure what is being done is correct by God's Word....

If you would like to read my testimony of my first day of The Christian Faith you may. Here is the direct link to it:

I believed, then I really did not believe even though I thought I did.
Jesus knocked my heart's door...finally I opened the door...
He moved into to my heart, and I do not only believe in Him now...I also have faith in Him.
I go to the church, I study the Bible, I pray and I worship Him.I love Him, and I want to be with Him forever after I die...and also here I want to be with Him. I am His servant.

I constantly question what I believe. God gave us questioning as a gift to be used to understand existence. I even question that last statement. Without questioning, we become helpless to those who claim that theirs is the one and only true path. We become victims of liars who come to take our money, and our freedom. You must question everything in order to find the true way. If there is one true way, the ONLY way to find it is to question reality and allow it to be revealed to you.
