the guy has offered to give him 100. for his bike that was messed up, and pay for the pants that were torn, I think he should call a lawyer because the guy wasn't paying attention both ways before pulling out into traffic..any thoughts?

I see people saying that evolution is wrong, because everything had to come from somewhere. So then I ask where god came from, and they say he is eternal. By that logic, things (ex:god) can exist, and don't need a maker. So, then why did the universe need a maker? Why, by that logic, could it not be eternal, with no creator. I may have confused before, so I broke the question down to this. IF GOD CAN BE ETERNAL, THEN BY THAT LOGIC, WHY NOT THE UNIVERSE? wHY DOES EVERYTHING NEED A CREATOR?

I am a Christian and although i do not have strong beliefs other religions have always interested me.. What they believe, how they pray etc. In this case i want to know what Jahovas Witneses believe.. All i know is they dont celebrate Easter or Christmas. Why? and what do they follow? please can somone fufil my curiosity?

I am fifteen and so far am considering two options.

one: Be a conservative republican politician, which we really need right now.

two: Be a scientist who will devout his life to disproving evolution and teach young people the truth of creationism.

To parahprase, Ecc. says that every man sins.
It is said that the only way to earn atonement for these sins is through sacrifice. It is said that today we have no sacrifices, so the only way to earn atonement is through the sacrifice of Jesus.
Now 1 kings 8:46-50 (to paraphrase) says that every man sins and there will be a time when they will be far away (and unable to bring sacrifices to earn atonement), and that in this circumstance if they pray & repent G-d will forgive them.
Both Kings and Ecclesiastes use almost the same exact phrase and are stated by the same author (as Solomon said this spech in Kings, and Solomon wrote Ecclesiastes). Kings is expanding on Ecclesiastes, and describes the exact circumstance that we find ourselves in today (sacrificeless). Kings offers the solution to the problem of sin w/o sacrifice - prayer and repentance.
Why draw another conclusion (the need for Jesus) from Solomon's statement in Ecc., when he himself clarifies his intent in Kings?

If the Christians have church and Crusade for Christ and the the atheists have Free Thought organizations, where can an agnostic go to meet other agnostics? I suspect that there might be such a place or organization, but I'm really not sure.

I have had crushes on boys all my life. I even had a boyfriend in seventh grade. I liked him, you know more than a friend. But lately I have had feelings about my bestfriend. She is pretty. Smart, funny and I've wanted to kiss her for so long. Now I don't find boys attractive, and lost all interest in them. But I can't get over this girl. I don't know if she has any interest in me, but I do know I like her. I have been raised to know that this is wrong. My mother believes that it is wrong, and my dad thinks that if you love the same sex you are a freak. My brother constantly makes jokes about the subject. So I know that I can't go to any of them for advice. I'm just really confused right now. I guess I'm asking for advice about this.
