I see people saying that evolution is wrong, because everything had to come from somewhere. So then I ask where god came from, and they say he is eternal. By that logic, things (ex:god) can exist, and don't need a maker. So, then why did the universe need a maker? Why, by that logic, could it not be eternal, with no creator. I may have confused before, so I broke the question down to this. IF GOD CAN BE ETERNAL, THEN BY THAT LOGIC, WHY NOT THE UNIVERSE? wHY DOES EVERYTHING NEED A CREATOR?

Man created god (or the concept of "god") from the various fears over the centuries, beginning with worshiping Thunder, lightning, Sun, Rain and Wind. So some smart person decides there's something for him in it. Religion is born.
Religion is big business. Only the business side is logical.
Belief in god is not derived from logic. I normally leave those who have lots of time on their hands to chase for answers you want.
Why not look at things differently?
Our lives are finite. Is this so important to you?
Why bother trying to use logic with religion?
What has all this arguments brought you?
More peace? Friends? Money? Knowledge?
You can always determine right from wrong without reference to any practice or religion.
Take time to enjoy the life you have.
Imagine that you are now dead, and for some magical phenomena you now have one year to live. Are you still going to spend your life trying to find this answer?
Be happy. Be Nice. Live.

Logically and mathemacially speaking, there must have been a beginning of existence because an "eternity past" is impossible due to the nature of infinity. If there was an eternity in the past, then every thing that could have ever happened would have already happened and there could be no present existence.

Thus, there must have been an uncaused cause that started the universe, and I believe that that uncaused cause is God. Atheists believe that the uncaused cause is the Big Bang. Both beliefs fall into the realm of faith because the neither God nor the Big Bang can be repeated in a laboratory.

My problems with Evolution stem from DNA. Even evolutionary scientists have no idea how loose protein strands could have formed into the super complex DNA strand. Until this is solved, I will continue to have a problem with Evolution. Simple.

I think you have an interesting point there, but I think your argument is flawed. Logic has got nothing to do with it. How can you use faith based facts (yes I know that is an odd concept but bare with me) and apply that to scientific based facts? You just reduce yourself to the people who will answer your question with - just read the bible.

If you are going to argue this from a scientific standpoint, then back your logic up with proof. If you are going to argue from a faith based standpoint - please go ahead and make up anything you like. This is faith based after all and people can have faith in the silliest of things.

Everything doesn't need a creator, but whether the Creator or the Universe is eternal or not cannot be answered. At least not with our current science. Faith can of course always make up an answer...

it helps to change create to organize as you cant create energy you can only change it from one form into another
hope this helps
in the beginning there was intelligences we were them
the one we call god organized us
we now existed as spirit beans
god came up with a plan he took the energy and mater that all ready existed and organized it into worlds without numbers than he organized life he organized water plants animals
(he may of altered DNA to do this as it cannot happen by its self it can happen if someone who has the knowledge helps it along)
and human bodies he didn't and cant create intelligences energy and mater he only could reorganize it
now we enter our bodies and do what we do here when our body dies we leave our body we remain as intelligences (or spirits) we can interact with other and we will eventually organize a new more perfect body for us that will last forever we will be able to communicate with god and we may even honor him by organizing another world like the others that have previously have been done

do you really think everything happened by a mere accident and evolved into all of this with all it's complexities?

if you go to an art museum and see the art, would you not assume the art was created by someone (an artist) or would you think the materials from this art were just there long enough that it accidentally formed into the art it now is?

So what makes us any different from that art?

It is a logical fallacy called Special Pleading.

As such it is illogical, and therefore it is a fallacious argument.

Only a theist could think that it was a rational logical argument, because theists are irrational people.

Because some can't think of another way it could happen, or don't like the implications if it didn't need to be Created.
