i asked a question before about all christians going to heaven and most people wrote back about being saved and if you are saved then you automatically go, things like that. but what about this verse:

"Not everyone who says to me, `Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, `Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, `I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'" Matthew 7:20-23

wouldn't that imply that just because you recognize jesus as your lord and savior, you still would need to be doing right to get to go to heaven?

Or the just use of force? Please be as specific as possible, but if you can't be too specific that is OK too.

When I was a kid, some people said that they can tap on a table on a quiet evening and get a response back from spirits.

The Catholic Catechism and Vatican 2 stated that there might be extraordinary circumstances where a non Christian will get to heaven. Not sure exactly what it says, but something to that extent. I don't want to get out my Catechism and seach for it right now. Do you as a Catholic concur and if so, how do you come to terms with the numerous Biblical references that says Christ is the only way to the Father in addition to the pre-Vatican 2 stance that disagreed with this.

Peter loved to eat worms.
Scott never liked to shower even though he had a roommate in an 8x11 room...we could smell him two halls down.
Mary never shaved her armpits or showered.
This dude masturbated during math class junior year to the principal's daughter who sat in front of him until he was thrown out.
This guy started going schizo and wearing army clothing everyday in college.
This girl used to work at Blockbuster at the register wearing a full goth outfit complete with pasty white face makeup and shades...no joke. She never wore the uniform either. She must've gone to court to get them to allow that.

Tell me about the crazy people you knew in your life?

USE YOUR IMAGINATION! You have the X-Men, Avengers, Fantastic 4, Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, RAMBO, Wonder Woman, Ant Man, Hulk, Thing, and any other super hero you can think of. What would be the outcome? Satan can't do battle with all of them at the same time. He has a weakness like all evil things do. Question is...what is his weakness?

Last night this really nice man told me I needed to " run quickly to the protecting arms of Jesus ". I was reading this and it freaked me out. I admit perhaps being partially impaired by some semi_party mode behavior but when I read it I felt this ominous feeling come over me and I wanted to run somewhere. I felt like the devil was going to get me or something. It was scary! Then tonight I thought, if the frigging devil shows up over here Ill sic my fricking dogs on him or something. I cant afford to be a superhero and get my butt kicked by the devil...my rep would be ruined! MAYBE IF I LOCKED MY DOORS ID KEEP THAT EVIL LITTLE FRIGGER AWAY. Besides, my gfs are here to. Ill just throw them between me and the devil if it gets hairy here. Any advice ? ( that guy freaked me out..Im serious...he was really nice though )....

You, the uneducated should know that you look utterly stupid to everyone here who understands what life is all about and who hold love in their heart. Go and read more, much more then come back and we will answer your questions and help you we can.

Thou art as black as hell and dark as night... until you step into the light... STOP WASTING YOUR LIFE… learn! Read! Then asks questions.

All the answers to your problems are available but your dark dull minds are still rejecting everything and so too will life reject you.

is it because they need an security blanket?and no i don't want to hear i need saving or quotes of the bible which has been written by ordinary man . the bible proves nothing at all it only serves the church with their scare tactics that good christians won't go to heaven if they don't live according to the rules.

I could just as easily accept any other religion on faith, so what makes one right and the other wrong?
i.e. I could just as soon put my faith in zeus or ra as i could in any other god.

Often faith is spoken about as though it was a virtue, but i do not consider it to be one
People throughout history have put their faith in things which were blatantly wrong eg nazism, racism, and numerous religions now scoffed at by almost everyone.

Also interesting:
When have you ever heard a politician say that people should have faith that he is the best candidate?
When has a scientist ever said that people should just put their faith in his theory?
When have you ever heard someone say that I should have faith that a used car I am buying wont break down?
Probably never.

Religion is the only thing i have ever heard being backed up by someone saying that people should simply put their faith in it, even though history warns us repeatedly that faith can be very dangerous.

Throughout history, there have been many christians that have done very bad things to all kinds of people. but that one particular person that does it is the person who is blamed, not christianity.

on the other hand, when muslims do bad things people attack the religion. it must be a bad religion because a muslim killed someone. even if a bunch of muslims do bad things, why is that a reflection of Islam, but not when christians do it?

when a christian man kills someone, it just says in the paper that a man killed someone. his religion isn't even mentioned. if a muslim man kills someone, the headline is going to state that he was a muslim man. why is it that people do that?

even when muslims do bad things and say its for their religion. have there not been christians that have done bad things before and said it was "for their religion"? yes, its just people say that that person is wrong and "real" christians don't believe that stuff (i.e. Hitler's ideology, slavery, etc.)

I can't help it. I just really think sex is nasty. I don't even know why. That is why I do not like guys who talk about sex and stuff. I mean aren't there any guys around my age that feel the same way I do? Like you think sex is nasty? I am not saying I would not consider it like if I got married or something because I think I would want to have kids. But other than that I just really would not even want to talk about it. Surely there must be some guys who feel this way...
