The Catholic Church acknowledges that humans are sinners and they will commit sins no matter how strong they are (because no human aside from Jesus (and arguably Mary as well) is without sin). So considering that sinners will and do commit sins, wouldn't the Catholic Church do well to say "If you do commit the sin of premarital sex, then in that case unprotected sex is a greater sin than protected sex.". I think this would be more productive than a total ban on birth control. Am I wrong?

This is hard for me to put in words but here goes. What i am trying to say is we know God because God was with jesus and jesus (by his fathers authority) told us the helper (holy spirit) would come. When we recive this, generally we know god because we are flooded with love and we may recieve some gifts, and we just know that this is (as we are told is jesus manifest in us, and God is with jesus, so we are with God) the one true God. Do other faiths have the holy spirit, are flooded with love and know the same God we know? e.g Islam, e.t.c.
LOVE GOD, I know thats all we need and praise and honour jesus and God and the holy spirit. Praise you god have mercy on me
PLZ dn't slate me, i'm still a babe.

Many Christians believe that external acts of worship can assume salvation better than one's moral transformation. It's to these human-made additions to God's Law that Jesus refers when He says "Any plant my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled out by the roots."
The purpose of religion is to lead humanity toward God. This final aim can only be reached through profound transformation of the soul. Any religion that doesn't make human beings better than they are at present fails in its pupose. We can also positively say that any religious belief that supports human beings in their wrong-doin is either flawed at the core or has had its priciples miscontrued. This is exactly what has happended to religions where the form has become more important than the substance. Belief in the value of ritual acts is meaningless if it doesn't stop violence, cheating, stealing, lying, slander and the abuse of others in all its forms.

I was surprised to learn of how little Jews there actually are in the world, only 15 million?? I am speaking of Jews as in the faith not the race, as i know the two boundaries blur from time to time.
So why is it when religious people debate with atheists and the like, they always bring up Judaism and not one of the many other prevalent faiths in the world? Is it solely because the origins of this religion come from the same stories and myth’s as Christianity?
I know that it is similar due to it being an Abrahamic religion and monotheistic. But also would it not take away some of the validity of Christianity as it shows how religion is like any other social construct, susceptible to constant change as it is only a human construct?

My five year old son talks in his sleep. I hear him almost every night. Sometimes I can make sense of what he is saying, sometimes it is just nonsensical stuff. My husband talks in his sleep sometimes, also. I had a cousin who did this too, when he was a kid. How common is this?

since the beginning of Dr. Who, the lead character (the Doctor has been a mystery, "Who is he?" his real idenity has never been revealed though everyone knows he one of the "god like" people known as Timelords, yet even now the question remains as to who he really is. However, particuarly recently, I've noticed some intresting paralells with the more benevolent, yet dangerous, Loki of Nordic legend and the "Time War" (Ragnarok?) etc, though this could be my hyperactive imagination at work here, what do you think?
