Everyone thinks that: thery use basic maths assumptions: but even more basic maths says there isn't any chance of life existing.
Basic maths: we exist, there are a ba-zillion planets out there, it has got to have happened somewhere else: QED, innit.
Even more basic maths says this:
What are the chances that all the right chemicals were in the same place and held within an atmosphere for as long as ours have and evolved over billions of years to create the exact mix we are at today and then triggered via some external agent into producing even basic life...the problem is so slight that humans can seriously not comprehend the number...
Now then,
If there are 100 billion stars in the sky (there is no where near that many according to those boffins with telescopes who fanny about on mountains): how many of them have planets? we don't know, but we can multiply the 100 billion by 100 billion if you like to consider this bit.
So, you get a number of planets figure that has one sh*t load of zeros after the one....
AND HERE'S THE KICKER....
You multiply the most conservative estimate of probability of earth getting life to start with which has about a squillion more naughts on it but after the decimal point, by this huge number of planets then your answer is so close to ZERO that I at least am quite satisfied that there is no one else out there.
Does this make any sense to anyone, I hope so as everyone on the planet uses the first set of simple maths to say:
"There has got to be life out there"....

There Are More Stars In The Universe Than There Are Grains Of Sand On Earth, To Think That We Are Alone Is Pretty Arigant.

It is hard to see why there are no other beings. There are so many planets, the chances that nowhere else a similar process as on earth took place. Another question is about being alone. The intelligence and awareness can be quite different. Maybe we won't see it when we stumble on it.
I believe still that there are other intelligent beings and that there is a chance to meet them.

If you think of it this way...Our galaxy is the size of an ant on the face of this earth. Each star in the sky can represent a sun with its own solar system. There is probably another earth somewhere in the vast universe with people just like you and me, thinking the same thing you are, but we will never know. If you are thinking ALIENS, you are going to get naysayers. If you are thinking other humans, why not?

in the hot day we've easily 0 information except for one position that life can exist. That one position is right here on earth. so as that provides us wish that it may take position else the position, we in basic terms favor to discover it or more suitable importantly discover information. i favor to imagine we are not on my own even if the way life all started on earth i'm susceptible to imagine life is rare, a minimum of so a techniques as we've advanced. The universe is a foul position and we've had countless mass extinction's that led to us evolving, that throws some uncertainties into the equation. talking of equations, the Drake equation that ought to get a aspect out is a tad ambiguous and that i imagine flawed.

no.we are not...as many readers has said in here.it wud have beein a waste of space,we have the MULTI and not UNI verse,or the COSMOLOGY,hence its just common, that there be.more then a form of life in the cosmology,in the solar system alone, where humans resides, there is few of other form of life, some even has got the form of animals, such as cats and dogs, hence the egyptians worshipping of such creatures,.and its a very profound subject, which require an intensive methaphysical study.Even its believed that certain knowledge from such being of the solar system has being imparted on to humans.such as microchips..radio waves and laser, its believed that humans could not have come up with such knowledge in such short time,It it was definitely imparted from such beings, theres even more to be known and passed on to humans. Those beings are called HEBs or highly evolved beings. However some of them are less evolved then humans, others,AS of MORE primitive then humans are,in nature and level of maturity.i recommend that u do ur onw research on METHAPHYSICS,happy findings.

No, we're not alone. Given the sheer size of the Universe, it would be highly probable that life does exist somewhere else in the universe.

Given just how big the universe is it would be pretty arrogant to think that we are the only life out there. But the fact that the universe is so very big it would be very difficult to find anything else out there.

There are almost definately other life bearing planets and bodies in the Universe. Whether a technologically advanced race is "out there" is something else.
